Another day after modding the .22 stock. Cut an inch off the butt and bed linered the front forarm back about 2". I DECIDED not to cut the front of the forarm on this one. I can always cut it but the blacked out front looks good . Stock does not have that long look now. Gave it a shot of oil on the spring and the chamber a drop of the chamber oil and let it set all night. Got up this morning and give the old air blowing to blow any over oiling out. I put the same cheek pad on this one as well. That inch closer to the scopes sure is the ticket for me. Much better feel. .177 got a crown job and I added a rubber bumper for the muzzle break to set against the barrel. The .22 pro had this on it so I thought it might help. Shooting the 10.5 discoveries in the .177 and for sure this is another good 12 land so let's get some lotto tickets. Grouping is great. As always gun is better than the gunner. So I have a near match looking pair of guns and they both are able to digest the discoveries (CPHP) LOOK ALIKES. They do shim the forarms of these good to keep the barrel from rubbing when you cock it because the PRO had them. I failed to install it and sure enough the barrel rubbed the forarm so I went back and installed the washer and guess what. NO RUB. Sighting in at just 1 foot short of 20 yards.

I took the PLAIN .22 classic 350 out after putting a muzzle break on it and shoot 5 shots through it and all 5 were touching in less than a dime. DISCOVERIES (CPHP) NO ADJUSTMENTS. Parked her. I had thought about taking the barrel off and trying that power plant with the short barrel. One thing that has me is the .22 PRO with the same barrel length as the .177 is twice as hard to break over than both the 350 .177 with the short barrel and the 350 .22 with the standard barrel. I thought all of these 350 classic mag. guns had the same POWER PLANT!!! It's like the pro has a heavier spring. It will slap back at you if you do not reach the break over point to fully cock. I will have to put the new Pro .22 and the modded 350 .177 on the chorny tomorrow and see what I have and then maybe swap the barrels out on the two 350 CLASSIC mag. and see which has the best power plant and seal.

NO 12 LANDER BLUES!! Swapped the RWS 3x9x44 AO off of the Remington this morning. NPSS is not hard on scopes and I know the 350 .177 is. Better trade off. I did not want to re-sight the NPSS back in and not knowing how the 12 lander was going to do I just put the Centerpoint 3x9x40 AO on the 350 .177 to see how the barrel would do. Cross hairs are better on the RWS and it will handle the pounding. After re-scoping both guns I have to say that both are going to be tack drivers. NO REGRETS ON THE 12 LANDER AND THE STOCK MODS!!

Glad things are working out with the new barrel. I'm glad you didn't chop the old barrel as well. With the power of the 350 and the reports of the 12 land barrels shooting fast, you might reserve it for shooting heavier pellets if they'll shoot accurately. I love the impact 'slap' of a heavy .177 striking it's target. Speed and high velocity is fun, but magnum Springers thrive on magnum weight pellets. Don't be afraid to make that motor work

Given the guns another stock profile. Guns do not look or feel as the same guns. Shoot as good as the did. Keeping the extra of the sister for down the road parts. $150.00 for a barrel to convert the .177 to a PRO?
? True stock Pro gun + the factory muzzle brake = a new gun, at least close. Well not as much. TOO give one away I am better off keeping one for PARTS. LORD ONLY KNOWS HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE TO GET parts for THEM. The .22 pro is an 07 model and the rest are 08 models. Not to current with 2011. Good deals are not as they seam but still not the lastest and greatest. Things in 07-08 had to be better than 2011. GOTS GUNS GOT PARTS!!! Allshoot great.

I got the factory muzzle brake and installed it and IMO THE 350's need that extra weight to stabilize the barrel. Still great grouping. For some reason the 350 pro .22 is still harder to cock vs the 350 that I converted to the .177 pro even with the new break on the .177. All of the 350 classics do have the same power plants don't they? They all say MAGNUM. The 350 standard classic .22 is no harder to cock than the .177 with the longer barrel. What's up? It's like the .22 PRO has a heavier spring.

Shot the .177 pro convert yesterday and anything around 8 gr. AND UNDER GOES SUPER SONIC. 10.5GR CPHP SHOT GREAT IN THIS 12 LAND. The muzzle brake is still the ticket for the gun. Just keeping them tight is the problem. Took both of them off and cleaned all parts. put lock tight on all the set screws and some on the area of the barrel where the brake rides the barrel. Let it set over night and then took Teflon tape and applied some to the the treads on the barrel cap. I will tighten down the cap to night and see if that stops the problem. NO DOUGHT THE BARREL DOES VIBERATE WITH THESE GUNS. STILL LOVE THESE SHORT GUNS. With the shortening of the butt these guns are a tad bit shorter than the REM. NPSS and the trail. I think cutting the foreare off some even makes the overall gun look much better. I have add some patterns to the foreare with the bedliner paint and the black makes the dark grain of the wood pop plus gives the gun a better hold just like the cheek pad on the back.

Done did some research and they claim the power plant are the same on all of the 350's. No one has chimed it so it looks like it is the difference in the assemble and machining of the the guns that makes the difference. SEAL VS OD, ACTION, SPRING AND SO ON. STILL LOTS OF OPTIONS ON THESE GUNS! Was threatened with my job today and my be out of work due to a control freak!!!! Hostile work ENVIRONMENT. Been doing this work for 11 years for one company and many more years in this line of work, now the pits. One thing is that I am older and much wiser. I still have my hobby and my mind. I have been through much more things in life than this. I have money in the bank and a good source of valuable pocket people. THE WOLF WILL PREVAIL. Just when we think we have gun issues true life raises it's head. Trust me, I have gone from a silver spoon in my mouth to not a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of. AS being the wolf we find our way. Man has tried to tame us and man has tried to control us but GOD has protected us. The wise WOLF will always haunt YOU AND LURK when you least expect it!!!! WE ARE SURVIVALS. MAY THE WOLF BE WITH YOU!!

THANKS Escondido1!!!! I have had to make some calls and hopfully I have cleared the air of my threat. In my line of work I am assigned to a job and my Bosses are elsewhere. I just have to work with the Super of the job. It's hard to work for a control freak that can not have full control of everthing or the knowledge to know right and wrong. THE OLD POWER STRUGGLE. SAFETY, not to mention QC carry large amounts of weight. Not to mention a SAFETY or QC person is never well liked when they do there job.
So much for that!!! The FANG IS going to order the 350 mag pro drop in spring for both of the compacs. The extra 350 is going to be around to use for any parts I should ever need. I can play with it and even put the .177 compac barrel on it and compare both on the chrony to see any difference in the power plants. The extra 350 is a .22 8 land gun. That gun shoots as good as any of the rest. I was going to part with it but it is worth more to me for parts esp since I have the extra .177 12 land barrel now. $25.00 for the drop in spring is not much. I really think the .22 pro compac has a different spring in it now than the other 2. I should have looked when I did all the stock mods. It is just so much harder to cock than the other 2. Could be many factors just in the assemble, clearenc es, piston tightness and many other manufacturing. BUT THERE IS SOME TYPE OF DIFFERENCE. So I am ready to dive in and tear one of the 350's down and just see how they work.
