Hello fellow shooters

Like mentioned 100yd match started Altaros inspired project convert Panthera to ATP .223 slug. For ERL shooting

Purchased LW .223rem blank and some slugs. Pushed trhu couple slugs. Quite spot on dimensions.

Plan was lab new .22 Panthera to shoot ATP .22 40gr King first good as possible. Know this slug very well from 800mm 1:14 Impact. Was like a laser.
Then short &turn down Lw blank 755 > 700mm and 10> 8mm from ends to fit inside Fx barrel system. Polish & crown it.

Yesterday tested new .22 straight outta box. Shoots relative good just index and tiny tune. 140b/ 80fpe. Fps is quite inconsistent but normal when everything is new.
Next polish internals for 2nd session

Hmmmmm.... I guess that is what Ondrej is sending me samples of.... although I'm not likely to get to shoot them until next spring....

Nice. Anything to fit them? .223 slug will give options go down to 8 twist.

Just finished internals. Basically polished all moving parts, reg and trigger. Awesome feedback now.
Fitted also Ar adapter to get better stock. Have to figure out how to ”lock” Ar adapter get wobble away.

I have two .224 cal PCPs of my own design/build.... One uses a 14" twist barrel, capable of over 100 FPE.... the other (below) a 9" twist barrel, at over 130 FPE, which is likely a good choice for this slug....

Nice. Dont know what fpe i can take out this. .25 is 120fpe 140bar and this .22 now 130b 75fpe. If i recall right my old .22 800mm Impact with upgrades was 75fpe at 160bar. Not talking max out. Just where found it best accuracy

Small update.

Was testing today was my lapping go right.
Consistency was amazing.
Shot count: 60
Low: 920
Hi: 926
Avg: 922
Spread: 6
STD Dev: 1.4
Awg BC (G1): .220
Weight: 40gr

Unfortunately wind was quite high. Around 10-15mph. Still have some good groups

very nice results on the target and a beautiful Bob rifle.
I tested the .223 same barrel and slugs in May on 1000 yard and 2 weeks ago I swapped my .25 barrel for the .223 again and the results with the .223 barrel and ATP Super King 66g are getting better and better. Very simple shooting at 500m, but also very small groups in the test tunnel at 35m (smallest 5 shot C-C was around 0.1 Mrad (1/3 MOA) ). This caliber will probably become my current favorite.

Can I ask Jari how easily you are able to put a long ATP Super King with 17.4mm lenght into the FX panther ? According to the photos, the overall size of the window for slug is relatively small.

I will work with single shot tray. There is around 18mm space.

ok thanks for the information. So the length of 17.4mm is practically the maximum that can be used for the FX Panthera and singl load. Previously, I also made 20.2mm long slugs
