New Mrod stock and paint
«

I saw on a rimfire thread where a guy modded an airsoft stock for a 17 hmr.
So I decided to try it on my .25 since I don't care for the oem stock.
It definitely took a little time and it's a half pound lighter than stock.
I just love the looks of the a-5 .
The best thing is I can tune it without removing the stock.
The stock came from trinity airsoft.
The camo is my tweak on multicam.
Good or bad let me know what you think

i'm not a camo person.on my guns at least. i would have preferred black or wood, but your camo job looks good
and that stock looks like the heat.
that's my take.

Came out pretty nice... I would like to see more pictures, and more info on how you modified that Airsoft stock. Bondo? Fiberglass?
I have a similar project planned..... I am tired of trying to fight off rust on my airtube/barrel , and always wiping my gun down with oil. That paint if prepped right should offer better protection to the elements.

This stock is an aics copy from an airsoft rifle.
I purchased the whole gun from the boneyard from trinity airsoft for 35$
I completely disassembled it and removed all the weights inside.
Then took my dremel and cut out all unwanted material.
Then used calipers and marked and measured where my mrod would sit.
I did not use epoxy or bondo since I wanted it to be as light as possible.
I cut a hole for the manometer and a hole for the new longer mounting bolt.
They have lots of different models to choose from. There is one stock on a mauser that has an adjustable metal buttplate.

It's da-bomb, no really... a bomb! (.25 cal )LOL
Nice work and not easy to inlet a stock, measure cut-measure cut, it's a labor of love.
I think the Airsoft stuff out ther is waaay overlooked, there are a ton of "sniper" rifles that are just beggin to be stripped of their stocks and retro-fitted on to AGs.

Excellent job on your gun and camo job. It's a little more than I would do, but I like the looks of it. Well done!
