this was shot today at 25yrds hit it my 2nd shot.. man felt great to get some trigger time in with the disco, shot four full fills from 2000psi down to 1200ish..

i poped a lizards head at 20 yards today,open sights!
ill have to try the old screw target.

the disco is very accurate!

thanks, i need a bench rest for it bad...im a little to shakey to really figure out what pellet gives me the tightest group.. but that was shot using a 15.1gr jsb right around 1700psi i think.. also want a better guage for the disco.. enough of those color pressure guage.. i want numbers to know exactly where im at pressure wise

Nice shot maybe when crosman sends mine back I will be able to do that.....not a chance. didnt even get a chance to scope it and I miss it

It landed into their hot little hands on the 16th. Spoke with Kim from the warranty dept. on the 17th and she was putting the paperwork in to send me out a new one. Im just antsy seems like a cool rifle and I wanted to shoot it before my fingers freeze.

Nice shot, Mike. Have you tried shooting at nails? Just be careful regarding the pellet bouncing back at ya. When I was much younger, my cousins and I would drive roofing nails using .22 rimfires at 25 to 30 yards...(OK OK...THEY would drive 'em..I would just shoot.). Scopes were not allowed, just open sights. We had fun until we heard a loud clang after a shot. Seems a ricochet bounced off my uncle's truck parked nearby. Nice dent and paint chip resulted. That started us thinkin' about our skin not being able to just "dent". My uncle was understanding about it but suggested that we drive the nails with a hammer instead.

lol its all good man, you should have it back soon enough... i hope my mrod trigger gets delivered tomorrow.. i dont understand why crosman cant up date the order info with a tracking number...egh oh well it will be that much better when it does get delivered..

as for pellets bouncing back, i had my large outdoor target trap as the backing and 2 other large boxes filled with padding at least 6in wide put to shape a u around the stick.. lol when i pulled the trigger and heard the smack i was like no way i didnt just hit a screw head 2nd try.. zoomed in the scope and adjusted the parrallax ansure enough i could see the pellet lodge on the screw head... i giggled like a school girl at a justin beiber concert

I'm going to brag a bit. Been a long road, but am pretty happy with how the gun shoots. Really has become a go-to gun for tree squirrel hunting.

Love this gun.

Have to admit, even though it doesn't look much different than it did from the start, have been fiddling around with this thing for about 2 years. Getting it POI stable from day to day. Trying to balance the striker/spring/valve return spring/transfer port/fill pressure to get the most shots at a reasonable speed Not power hungry, like a longish shot string, and right now 18.5 foot pounds seem to be where I'm at. Plenty of faster guns...and slower ones...but this particular rifle seems to balance out about here.

And to be honest, about ½ the things I tried didn't do much but make work for me un-doing them; but we learn more from what doesn't work than we do from what does.

interesting about detuning it.. for me tho the stock settings plus the long probe bolt give me plenty of power..

Don/t think of it as down tuning...think of it as finding the place the rifle wants to balance.

Had a choice between the following (counting just the shots inside of 20fps of each other):

35 shots at 15.1 foot pounds per shot.
30 shots at 18.5 foot pounds per shot.
24 shots at 20.3 foot pounds per shot.
17 shots at 24 foot pounds per shot.

But the way I look at is is how much energy produced within that fps variation.

So the above (in the same order) worked out to:

528.5 foot pounds (15.1 FPE per shot X 35 shots inside of 20fps)
555 foot pounds (18.5 FPE per shot X 30 shots inside of 20fps)
487 foot pounds (20.3 FPE per shot X 24 shots inside of 20fps)
408 foot pounds (24 FPE per shot X 17 shots inside of 20fps)

So it seems the rifle is "happiest" at the 18.5 foot pound area.
