It's been a few years since I've been active in the airgun community, but got the bug to get something with a little more power than the old PP700. I wasn't going to shell out the money for another Impact so decided on the M60. After a month or so wait, it finally came!

First impressions:
Good build quality and finish, but man it's heavy! Eleven pounds with scope and bipod. The aluminum bottle and thick barrel are the main causes of that. It came with a "new and improved" moderator, which turned out to be the exact same segmented chamber moderator that I got from Mrodair years ago for my PP700. It actually does a decent job quieting it down though. It included one 20 round mag, spare o-rings, gauge wrench, pellets, and a fill adapter.

It was shooting the included 15.9gr pellets at around 995 fps with the reg at 150 bar. I was happily surprised with that, due to it having a very small plenum and four port valve. After some trouble due to poor directions and a brain fart, I dialed it down to 110-115 bar and had it shooting at around 900 fps.

Always clean your barrel before shooting a new gun!

Accuracy was tested at thirty yards with the supplied SPA 15.9gr pellets and 15.89gr JSB's. Here's a seven shot group with the SPA pellets:

And a six shot group with JSB's:

For some very odd reason, SPA decided not to put a fill port on the bottle adapter and instead made it so you need to remove the bottle and screw in an adapter... I might have to machine a new adapter with a fill port, removing the bottle is slightly annoying.

I had something binding up in the cocking linkage towards the end of the stroke, but just turned out that the screw holding the probe to the linkage was loose. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the gun and hope to stretch the range out a bit here soon. Not sure if I want to keep it a pellet shooter or stumble down the slug rabbit trail again...

Very cool. Eleven pounds is no joke, that is a beefy gun. The PP700 is a wonderful unit but I suspect this new one will put a smile on your face !

Wow if my .177 comes in at 11lbs. Is there the ability to swap on a 300cc CF bottle. If not mine will be looking for a new owner lol!!

Thanks for sharing your first thoughts! I did get a bunch of 360cc and 420cc carbon bottles that can be installed in place of the aluminum bottle. The gun itself is between 7 and 8 lbs. I think around 7.5 if I remember right, which is heavier than I thought, but with the carbon bottle on it will shave 3/4lb off that weight.

Nice review Terry. I noticed I was losing a lot of elevation on my scope turret, so I machined up a 30 moa rail for it. I really like how SPA used dowel pins for the pic rail, always wondered why my Impact didn’t have any.

If that had a tube with normal fill probe instead of a bottle, I'd be all over that. I just do not like bottle-guns for carrying.

Yes sorry my shipment of rifles has been so delayed. For some reason the Air shipping company backed out of shipping to Canada after we'd had everything booked, and it was already a month late getting shipped. I am not sure why, perhaps because of all the new gun laws they've been bringing in they didn't want to risk them getting stuck in customs or something. Anyway our only option after that was to rebook by ship, but Snowpeak had to reapply for a license to ship the rifles by sea instead of by air. China is very restrictive on even transporting guns, even airguns so it took another month to get the new license. So now we are here in September and the guns are finally at port and are supposed to depart on the 8th. So sorry for how it has gone.

The good news I just heard today is the new valves they made for these m60 bottle guns has the fill nipple on it. Still waiting for confirmation that these new rifles have that on them. Either way I'll be ordering a bunch for spare bottles, but hopefully these guns will have the fill attachment.

There is a Snowpeak/SPA M60 as well, without the B from bottle

To the topic starter... That is a really cool set up and very accurate shooting with JSBs. I bet you will have a lot of good times with this airgun. Please keep us posted about your findings !

Pulling the bottle for filling the gun is a bit tedious, but at least they made the probe from stainless instead of brass. Wes, I'd be interested in upgrading my bottle/fill port later if you can have those available separately.

Yep I'm getting a bunch! I'll have them for sale separatelyand as an option to be installed on the gun when you purchase it.
I do have a few tube kits as well in the shipment though I think most are spoken for already.

I had mine out today and the accuracy is still good. Depending on wind, I’m getting 1” groups at 75 and 100 yards with 15.9 pellets.

When Wes gets those updated valves for the bottle, I’m gonna want one to make filling a lot easier.

Carm makes 16 shot magazines for this model. I got one yesterday and now I may order a single shot loader for this gun.

I may try competing with it in 50M bench rest, but I gotta configure it to sit in my rest properly first.
