Athlon-HERAS SPR 2-12x42, reticle?

I’m looking at the Athlon- HERAS SPR
2-12x42 AAGR1 SFP MOA, is the reticle hard to see on darker objects? Is the reticle useable for hold overs?  This model is not a IR but checks all the boxes I require.  I have a Hawke 4-12X40 AO Airmax on my TX200 and the AMX is hard to see on dark objects.  I never owned a Athlon either so any comments are welcome.  Going to put it on the new Avenge-X, hopefully!

I do not know about seeing things in dark places.  Most people want illumination for that...
Reticle seem very usable for hold over.
In general Athlon has pretty good glass.  Many guys at the range like them...

I've been considering an Athlon 2-12 x 42 Argos, so as comparison I looked up the Heras.
Both are SFP
Athlon lists the weight of the Heras at  23.5oz the Argos at 19.8oz
That 6 oz is important to me

Is it a typo or your math? I get a 3.7 Oz difference. Still noticeable, but not six ounces. Hth

I think the scope uses the Helos BTR Gen2 glass and turrets also.
