RWS 350 Magnum front cocking lever pin removal

I need to remove the cocking lever from the barrel assembly on my 350 Magnum.  Does the pin just drive out?  And when replacing it does it need to be flared to stay in place?  I'll be grateful for any trick to do this.

The cocking arm pin has a groove in the middle, and an E clip in the groove. You need to get the E clip out, after which the pin drifts out without trouble. Getting the E clip out of its tight, deep home can be a chore, as can the re-assembly.
