Last year I had a goal for shooting consistent sub MOA groups at 300 yards and shared some of that adventure on AGN.

That one is my MK2 Impact with a 700mm barrel with one of the original slug liners. Also using a Vortex Golden Eagle 15-60x52 scope.

The big secret I was keeping back then was using a Ravin Jack Plate adjustable scope base and the Absolute MOA Digital Readout Kit. Total game changer for shooting ELR.

I guess it’s fun if you like this sort of thing. I enjoy watching guys fling slugs out to unheard of distances but see no point in it for me at least. For me 50 yards is more than enough for popping ground squirrels (25 is better, the pop is louder) but this is what is fun about air guns the diversity and the options. Why shoot 400 yards? Because we can:) that’s awesome brother.

I have tested my range finders out to that distance, but too far to go post a target

If you're not set up for it, ELR is very difficult. But once you get everything dialed in, it's very addicting. I love pushing the limits and seeing exactly what these airguns can do with the proper equipment.

I try to find areas that I can drive down range to set up targets. I usually set up several targets when I do to make the trip worth while.
When I shoot at 600+ yards, I looks for open dirt areas where I can see the impacts and usually just shoot at 12oz soda cans. Then I only need to drive over once or twice when I'm finished. Anything over 300 yards just takes up too much time to walk imo.

I’m worried about the addiction mainly. I tried Field Target once ended up spending a bunch of $$ now I’m scared to try anything else lol. Yeah I can imagine setting up targets you would need to be able to drive or else it’ll get old real fast walking 500 yards . I know if I try it I’ll get an FX set up for long distance and a $10,000 scope because my addictions aren’t cheap lol I want the best of the best, crème de la crème
