Buckle I saw

Here's a buckle I saw at my favorite local gun shop yesterday but didn't buy, yet, because I don't own one of the guns, yet.

Was it a Crosman buckle?
Back in the Day they had some that were really cool.

 Speaking of buckles….did anybody have one of those Have Gun Will Travel derringer buckles…u poked out your stomach and the gun popped out…I dont remember if it snapped a cap….I had mine on a set of Mattel holsters with the six shooters that shot the plastic bullets…lol…

Speaking of buckles….did anybody have one of those Have Gun Will Travel derringer buckles…u poked out your stomach and the gun popped out…I dont remember if it snapped a cap….I had mine on a set of Mattel holsters with the six shooters that shot the plastic bullets…lol…

Yup me too, I recall there was a casing with a spring inside, and a plastic bullet with latches that locked into the casing, and as an added bonus you could stick an adessive cap to the back for the real blast effect.
 Some how I remember a wrist adapter that would slide the pistol out to your hand ready to shoot But that may have been another of many of the toy guns of my past

Of course I'm too young to have had one but I'm definitely aware of them.
There was also a hat ( tie in to Maverick I think ) that had a pop out derringer cap gun inside.

When I was a kid I had a cowboy set from KB Toys, it had a pump gun ( supposed to be a colt lighting I think) and a derringer on the spring out gamblers wrist rig.
Neither were cap guns though , the pump gun had sound effects and the derringer just clicked.
They were both lime green, the pump gun had orange furniture.

If I remember right, this belt buckle came out around the time crosman introduced the "copperhead" logo and branding on its ammo.  they had a whole line of merch - and this was all right in my heyday as a total airgun obsessed teenager.

They also had a line of  " Crosman Blades " knives that were made by Camillus, a perfect choice since they were both located in New York.
I've only seen folders so far, a small lockback ,a couple different large lockbacks , a scout knife, a trapper and a large stockman.
There may be others.

Whaddaya know there were fixed blades, or at the very least one model.



The handle and protruding ricasso area that acts like a guard reminds me of the Schrade deerslayer,  but these were definitely made by Camillus.
The scout knife I know was just a rebranded Camillus #99.

It's tempting,  but every Crosman belt buckle I've seen was brass plated pot metal,  it's solid brass or nothing for me.

I'm suspicious.
It's listed as " never worn " but the exact buckle with all the same exact scuffs and scratches is available right now on Ebay for $25+ shipping.

I'm not a beeman guy, but this one is a proper Solid brass buckle and it sure looks like a BTS to me.

Yep I did a little digging, and that Beeman is definitely a BTS buckle.
