ReinicheWestfalicheSchule Model 34
This is the 1st Woodstock Spring Piston Airgun ik heb. I have many Breakbarrel AGs in Polymer Stocks.
May 30 a cold windy 37'F, i recieved my RWS M34. This was ordered from Sportsmanswarehouse and shipped from Juneau, AK.
A small dent in the wood stock on the side, nothing to fret over. Feels right on the long mark and not light not heavy either, maybe right around +7lbs. Im around 5'9" and 145lbs for reference, XD
The rear sight is steel with click adjustments with hash marks and green fiber inserts. The Front sight is plastic hooded with a red fiber insert. I love hooded front sights.
First 10 shots had alot of movement and noise, esp shots 2-5 but quickly settled down. 150 shots in i can tell its still smoothing out. Very, Very light trigger, adjustable but havent made any changes yet. Ball lockup is great, smooth and strong.
Sightin with open sights and Excite Hammer Dome 14.7gr right around 32 yards. These pellets fits good, not loose not tight either. Havent been on paper yet just out in the tundra popping natural nonlive targets, does very good. Very good. RWS Superdome 14.5 gr have a loose fit head with the skirts being full, do good, they hit a hairball to the left and nearly same elevation with same EHD14.7gr Sight in. HNFTT 14.7gr 5.53mm, ill try these soon after i pass 200 shots through. I have a UTG Hunter 4x32mm MD with a 1 piece mount ready to be mounted after the 200 shot mark is past.
Today June 8, weather a sunny Warm 61F' i head down hill to check what kind of power i have. With a little over 150 shots in with EHD 14.7gr. Still smoking some. Action Noise and vibration calmed down compared to brand new, smoothing of the action during shot will continue to smooth out. Good, im thinking the wood is eating some Vibration and noise.
While taking the stock out of the action to add blue locktight, I found it has winged washers on the forearm screws, not as bad as teethed but,, im to start on modifying some # 8 or #10 washers to fit.
I didnt run the M34 though the chrony till now, seems to be picking up Velocity over the first 50-100shots.
10 shots through chrono, no warm up shots. 736low- 750high
14 fps spread
744 fps Avg
18.1 FPE
Didnt think id ever get one of these wood stocked, yet here i am.

Nucal,
Think about using some crazy glue/or sililar to strengthen the wood underneath the washers. I replaced the washers with a flat one and a lock washer.
I believe there is a sticky somewhere here that explains how to strengthen your wood stocks attachment points. Check it out!!!

The star washers will chew into the wood. I always put a flat washer between the star washer and the wood. You can just drip cyanoacrylate onto the the wood to strengthen it. I believe the cool fix is supposed to be cyanoacrylate mixed with baking soda but I'm not sure if I remember correctly. It may have been some common household ingredient other than baking soda.

Nukall, congrats on the new gun. You're going to like that. I'm opposite from you. The few guns with plastic stocks I have is because that was the only way they came. Recently I was gifted a Crosman G1 Extreme and I bought two old used Crosman Furies and a Phantom. All came in plastic stocks. I found old wood stocks for them on line.

dcorvino,
Thankyou for reading. At a later time ill be putting the M34 on paper and recheck with chrono around 250 and again at 500 shots in.
Yogi,
Now that you mentioned it i remember reading that,, before i had Any thoughts of getting any WoodStock Airguns. Thankyou for reminding me. Ill be getting the attachment point strengthened along with flat washers modified to fit before i continue with any further shots.
Roadworthy,
I am aware of non flat washers eating stocks, most of my Breakbarrels have the teethed washers replaced with modified flat #8 or # 10 washers. Cyanoacrylate, cyanoacrylate,,cyano,,, superglue with any powder type i think would add much strength to the wood attachment points. I have 5 minutes in on shaping flat washers fo fit. Usually takes 15- 20 min with a file and dremel,,, pfff. Brrm brrm.
lefteyeshot,
Cool. Im loving the warm feel of the wood, the Noise and Vibration reduction, the look. Having woodstocks Id have to be abit more careful, have to in a padded case on front of atv rack and would not let it ride on ATV footwell, would not take them out when i know itl rain, snow or temps below 32'F, things my PolymerStocked AG have no problems with doing. I need to get wood stain/sealer or polyuerthane for the inside of some the woodstocks,, i hate the smell of polywood sealer, ive stained and sealed wood before.
I now have 2 Woodstock Airguns, RWSM34 and a CVan.22 with 100 shots in. A 3rd Wood AG in the form of Diana250 is on it way also. A B2027 had its wood stock for a few hours, now dressed in BR Attire. Id like to add a COptimus.22 and a UxAH.177 at a later time though..
Thankyou for reading and for your comments
Excellentwork. StayAlert.
