There's what I think is a really, really old cartoon in which Elmer Fudd actually shoots Bugs Bunny dead. Elmer instantly starts boo hooing, "Awwww, I shot a bunny wabbit! I shot a bunny wabbit!" while tenderly carrying the body to its burial hole.

I never saw that episode when I was a kid. Maybe it got turdcanned so Warner Bros. could keep making lots of Elmer vs Bugs episodes? Can't make more after killing a protagonist.

The invasive species I want to get is Eurasian Collared Dove. But I doubt removing a few near my home would make a dent, either. It's the only reason I'm keeping the scope on the 880, LOL. Plinking is more fun with the open sights.

Hmmm, that dragging of the body, leaving a huge red swath, is not the scene I remember. I'll have to go through the DVD compilation to find it. I had no idea how OLD Merrie Melodies/Loony Tunes was till the phones drawn in the cartoons were the old upright units and the cars were all black buggylike things. The Owl Jolson episode prompted me to look up the history of those cartoons.

And now we return to our normal programming of varmint reduction...

I seriously doubt it. It could be, but I think it’s Karen’s photoshop incorporated.
Bugs fell off of mountains, blown up with fireworks etc., but was always good to go in a few seconds.

"What's Opera, Doc" has Elmer crying about killing the wabbit, who is not really dead. The weird looking clip with the blood must be one of the numerous fakes out there. I had no idea. My DVD has the real studio cartoons, so I'm not going to sift through the imposters, though it's interesting that people are interested enough in those cartoons to make altered versions.

Kinda scary what might pop up if you post your own hunting videos.

Obviously not! 🤭 To think that in the old days every cel was drawn by hand and illustrated very slight changes to create the illusion of movement. I love the old flipbooks that had a little cartoon at each page's outer edge, too. To a kid, that was like having magic in my hands. The circular paper strips placed on turntables was fun, too.

 Well, I added another starling & a pigeon to the weekend pest tally. I have a 3x18 Sightron scope coming (hopefully tomorrow) for the .25 Ranger that will be the
 primary G-hog gun. Reports to follow.

🤣🐿☠ LOL!! Man this thing disappeared from the scope so fast I thought I missed, my buddy watched it fall and said it went inside the fence so I went over there and there she was.
Those H&N 9.57 FTT pellets hit really hard btw 👍
