I shot this fox squirrel at about 29 yards using my old RWS .177 model 34 and Spitzkugel pellets, anyone that tells you body shots are unreliable aren't hitting the animal properly, this squirrel just dropped out of the tree.  I do this over and over again with this rifle and I've owned it for 24 years👍

Nice shootin! The spitzkugel .177 do well in my dianas, but usually around 700 or below. All rifles are different though! The ftt 4.50s usually do a little better for me at the higher speeds. It's great to see some successful hunting with the sptizkugels.

Yeah the Spitzkugels are something new to me, I saw the bass Pro shop here in town had a fairly good selection of H&N pellets ( they even had .20 cal FTT's) so I bought a tin of these and was surprised at how well they shot out of my model 34. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but they cut clean holes in the hide of the squirrels much like you'd expect a wadcutter to do with the added bonus of decent penetration. I've shot the whole tin and was going to buy another, but my buddy dropped off a new tin for me the other day👍 I plan on using these for hunting this fall.

 Nick finally swapped in the rifle barrel on his bottled .22 Chaser, Sights were right on, just POI was a tad higher as the velocity increased, He just adapted and picked a different Mil-Dot

I dropped another Chipmunk today with the .177 cal. Stoeger at around 20 yards.
Between me and the cat, there is not as many around anymore.
We have managed to do a good job of thinning them out but it took awhile to do it.

Speaking of poison Ivy, there is plenty of it around where I live.
I have never had any problem with it and it doesn't bother me.

Shot this raccoon at point blank range in a live trap with my Beeman R9 .22 because he climbed down my garage chimney and knocked all the stove pipes down😬🦝 I set the trap in the path he takes to my chimney using Starkist tuna as bait.
 If anybody's interested, I used Daisy pointed pellets in the blue and white tin because that's what was handy. Time was 6:40 AM this morning

 Them buggers can find all kinds of mischief this time of year as they search for new homes, have to keep the numbers in check when they decide humans have the nicest places to trash

The neighbors have chickens and they're drawing these animals into our yards, we have hawks buzzards skunks possums and feral cats all trying to get at the *^&^&& chickens, the raccoons have been the most successful, killing two last week. Seeing my Diana 350 is out of commission for the foreseeable future, I'm going to buy a Hatsan 125 in .25 caliber today as a quick and dirty solution to my weaponry, the R9 worked to dispatch the raccooon in the trap, but I need something with a little more horsepower in case I see them out in the open.

The effect of a 25 cal strike is mo betta than smaller calibers. I like them, 3 of them. Still have to place them correctly though. I have a Trash Panda or Grinner on my porch after tomatoes at night. Was leaving them in a clean bucket on the porch to avoid the gnats following them into the house. Will set a live trap with a tomato for bait tonight. The live trap keeps me from harming a neighbor's animal nosing around. Can train Him in the AM.  Be Well, Packy.

I haven’t seen a varmint in the yard hardly since we stopped keeping poultry.  They do attract the predators!  I applaud your choice of the .25 caliber mod 125.  It will make you a believer!
