 Wes , good shooting for sure . I pulled my Benji Trail out the other day for some basement plinkin', wow , a lot different than the PCP's !
 
 James , soul building , that hosp popping . I went out early on Monday to field zero my Mrod & Avenger bottle conversion after switching some scopes. Did a quick basement zero first . Before I could set up my target several hosps were "shooting me the bird" from the barn roof vents & weather vane ! SO, to protect my manhood I responded in kind by shooting back w/ a few 15.5 hollow points ! I got 3 & missed one ( misjudged the holdover on the 40yrd vent). Then on my right , several starlings landed in the Ash tree , so , the Mrod FT again answered the call 5 times w/ one miss clipping a twig. No need to field zero that gun! I went over to another barn to pursue some pigeons at the old silo. Here's where the Avenger comes out. A couple shots at some mossy stains give me my final scope clicks . Just as I'm finishing up the return to zero on the glass a pigeon lands on the silo rooftop. I made a perfect front of chest shot to drop it where it stood w/ a 20gr. Rifle slug. THEN, went to check the feed pile around the barn and saw rats ! So out comes the Mrod again to dispatch 2 of them AND then another pigeon fly's in to land on the pile, so POP , another bird down! At least the farm cats get one bird. I retired back to the Castle for some coffee w/ my manhood intact .

 HOSP were abundant last night after work, but after 10.5 hours I had no energy left to aim properly so they all got a pas.

thanks guys, I originally grabbed the Notos, but It had blown an O-ring and was empty, so I grabbed the Avenger instead, first kills for the Avenger, I wound up swapping out the Notos original drop block and regulator to the new Huben regulated drop block, better fit and easy to adjust, good thing I had it and a machine shop in the next room.....

Well if I can believe my buddy's $50.00 Chinese chronograph about 835-838 fps The pellet shot through the squirrel's skull, that never happens with the .22 R9, I'm buying a .177 barrel for the R9 next month, I've had way too many get aways with it due to lack of penetration, the little red squirrel I shot with it that I posted above didn't penetrate through both sides and it was shot at the same distance as the one I shot with the 34 . 👍

I shot this fox squirrel at about 29 yards using my old RWS .177 model 34 and Spitzkugel pellets, anyone that tells you body shots are unreliable aren't hitting the animal properly, this squirrel just dropped out of the tree.  I do this over and over again with this rifle and I've owned it for 24 years👍

Nice shootin! The spitzkugel .177 do well in my dianas, but usually around 700 or below. All rifles are different though! The ftt 4.50s usually do a little better for me at the higher speeds. It's great to see some successful hunting with the sptizkugels.
