I have noticed the chipmunks migrating to higher ground after these heavy rains, I got a small one that was crossing the road with a sibling and it mother on the way home tonight LOL Sierra strikes again.

Hi James.

If the Chipmunks are out in the woods they are safe and I leave them alone.
If they migrate into my yard they wind up getting dealt with in one way or another.
I passed judgment on one recently that had set up its home close to my outside AC condenser unit. Trap #1

I have a trap on my backyard patio next to a burrow in my concrete retention block wall. Trap #2
My guess is the last one is not long for this world either.

I had to start the day with getting rid of this lil bugger, in the U-Pick shed garden, was the 2nd thing I did after I clocked in.

I pulled in the driveway and another small one was waiting right where I park, it scampered, but mama

was 15 yards away in the berry bush garden.

. . . Many rainy days later

While eating lunch I spotted a woodchuck looking in the overhead shop door, he noticed me too and headed under some nearby palates 'I go out the other side of the shop to get the GK1 out of the truck and go back in to see if said large rodent is going to attempt another visit.
I stayed farther back in the shop to limit my visibility and waited, within 5 minutes there was a rodent and I took aim and let it have it with Hubei {poink SMack }down it went about a foot straight back from wher it stood DRT 23 yards to POI

Never saw the WC there again , yet But later n the day we went to get the skid loader that we left 1000 yards awa on the end of an orchard we were working in, and when I took off with the Bobcat Nick had a laugh as there was the GH squatting under the machine and suddenly exposed.

The things you se when you are not holding a gun!

I went out to my truck to get some things, and spotted another neighborhood juvinle delinquent bunny. The Nemesis X was one of the things I was getting, so popped a mag in, took aim and stopped the delinquency

Good shooting James but I really hate to see all those bunnies annihilated. I wish there was a way to trap them and release them to another location.

I picked off some more Chipmunks this morning.
I narrowly missed 2 shots and scored 6 hits.

I got 2 with the .177 cal. Umarex multi-pump at around 15 yards shooting open sights.

I got 4 with the .177 cal Stoeger.
A. 3 were at around 20 yards.
B. 1 was off of the woodpile at around 35 to 40 yards.

I could probably get a couple more if I sat around this afternoon and waited it out but I have things to do today.
Maybe I'll set out some traps and then get about the things that I have planned for today.

Managed to bag 3 rats on the farm the other night.

Setup a table to shoot from around 10 metres away from the action and waited till it got dark.

Nice shooting on the rats, I have not been able to stay awake past dark to shoot them, I have done it in the middle of the day, seems strange but the rats were active and perhaps plentiful at the time.

Fish heads and guts in the ~~bait station~~ composters attracted what I thought were raccoons this morning but when I hit the lights turns out it was armadillo’s. They move quick when the light comes on andI only had time for a boiler room shot at about twenty yards. Armadillos are not armor plated but they can be tough. I know from experience that a shoulder shot will anchor one. I hit this one within an inch of where I was aiming with a 25.39gr JSB King from the Hatsan mod 135. It knocked the dilla’ down! It got up and ran off of course but it was a lethal shot. Flash and Belle found it this morning underneath the tiny house. Graveyard dead.

First blood for the mod 135!
