My dead pest of the day didn't involve an airgun.Four things that are not allowed in Betty Lou's kitchen are:BugsSnakesMice and me Yesterday she said she saw a terd in the sink and I swore to her it wasn't me. So I set a couple traps. I got up this morning and went to turn on the coffee and there was the culprit wearing a snap trap necklace. He should have learned where not to poop like me and the dogs had to learn.PS... I didn't think anyone want to see a pic of that.
Took Angus for a walk and saw a rabbit in the long grass . I could only see ears and top of it's head . Bang, knocked that one off. Went to pick it up. Oh no i had to climb an electic fence so i walked around to use the gates . I got my bearings bit out and had to search the grass for the carcass. Angus was no help at all and when i did find it he wasn't interested at all. He is good company though
Had a dry spell in November. No pest taken. Today, I came homevto find 3 nutters in the backyard. Once they spotted me, they moved off the lawn into the wooded areas. The Notos and I patiently waited by the basement door for a shot opportunity. One came back, and moved along the edge of the lawn. I followed it with the scope waiting for the head to hold still. After a couple of minutes, I made a little whistle. It froze and stared right at me. I placed the cross hair on its face and pulled the trigger. It was too close and I didn't have enough holdover. The pellet must have went under its head. It bolted away. After about 5 minutes, I caught movement to the left, behind the shed. One had stop on top of a stack of logs. This was about a 25yd which is what this scope is sighted in at. I had a perfectly still side profile. Cross hair on head. I launched the CPHP. Thump, and it's knocked off the log! I hear a bit if rustling in the leaves and waited for the sound to seize. After things got quiet, I moved in for a recovery mission. I found it on its belly, but then I noticed eye movements. I was only about 12 feet away, and it remained still. It must be severely injured. I raised the Notos and put another pellet to the back of the head. A quick death dance, and it was all over.

Maybe 3 years ago I was going after quail with my 392. Miss, miss, miss. I was so baffled as it’s actually a really accurate gun. Like I center punched an Ace of Spades at 17 yards accurate with the peep sight - within 1mm of perfect center. So anyway I get back to the truck, shoot at a can really making a point to keep both eyes open and see the puff of dirt. Then I remembered it was zeroed on a completely different weight and shape pellet. Doh!
Got a chance to hit the squirrel woods again today, nick managed 2 1/2, I got 1 1/2 as I used the GK1 .22 to finish one off that we had tried to find for some time before moving on, turned out the squirrel followed us a good 150 yards from the initial encounter. The shot I finally got on one with the .25 bottle jet was about 25 yards no passthrough but blood was everywhere on the snow and large tree trunk she made an attempt to climb for a second before running out of fuel.Mines the bottom one Nick stalking another right after I @$%^ mine, but it gave him the slip.
