Well gun deer season starts Saturday, so my dead pest may get bigger LOL Bummer I can not use big bore in Wisconsin yet.

Good luck... I'll be waiting with crackers, cheese and pepper jelly in hand for my summer sausage.

I will probably camp thanksgiving weekend with the MSR to try for some larger freezer packages...lol
I bumped three yearlings at the creek on USACOE hunting area tonight.  Think I have a fix on the bedding area at the creek.  That area is Archery only all season but AG for small game. Technically the 30 caliber Challenger is legal here in Georgia but 90fpe doesn't feel right to me even though it should penetrate both lungs....

 Went on a short squirrel hunt yesterday, when I shot the first squirrel I started walking to retrieve it and saw 4 deer 1 small 6 pt a large doe and 2 yearlings. they did not move and were 30 yards from where the squirrel dropped
 Nick got 3 I got 1 again, I'm slacking LOL

We havee a doe and her two yearlings that visit our front yard just outside the fence twice a day. They leisurely make their way across the yard and drink from the swamp pond in the morning before traveling on. They return in late afternoon. We see them on our security cameras. I've seen the buck but he don't come out in the open yard. I think he takes the long route through the woods behind us or across the dirt road.

Went on a short squirrel hunt yesterday, when I shot the first squirrel I started walking to retrieve it and saw 4 deer 1 small 6 pt a large doe and 2 yearlings. they did not move and were 30 yards from where the squirrel dropped
 Nick got 3 I got 1 again, I'm slacking LOL

Popped a couple more Squirrels with the Notos today, one at 40 yards and the other at 53 yards, used JSB Hades on both, Head shots are easy now since I bumped up the Regulator to a 2200 psi, bottle give me more shots than I can shoot in a day....

 Been after them pesty deer as of late, jumped 4 in a thicket while thinking I was sneaking up on a doe and fawn in the soybean field. After that I went to my stand and met 1/2 Rack and Thick six, 1/2 rack is a 8pt with only 1/2 a rack, he gave me one shot opportunity but jumped over a stump right when I was going to pull the trigger. Thick six gets a pass for a couple more years. Switched it up to turkey for the mid day hunt and could not get a dozen birds to com in, but got a report that they did after I switched back to deer for the late afternoon.
 Wish Wisconsin would let me use my airguns for all this fun hunting
 PS I sould of switched to squirrel hunting in the afternoon had 6 circling my tripod stand all afternoon.

last season I slung an AG and carried the MSR in my hands....end of season I just carried the fire breathing hand cannon if I saw a deer and slung an AG for nice long walks....cheers

 I hear you took me a bit to push some buttons on my phone , then 10 minutes to publish this short to YouTube 

This piegieon showed up a couple months ago, and has followed me around the farm. There has been a cold snap and today it followed me in through the man door to the shop to warm up and get a snack and drink.
 Yeah I know I'm an airgun pester, but this has been the only one around the farm ATM. It might keep me sane over the winter , or emergency food

 Well With a new gun comes the break in period, after 5 shots to zero scope for intended ranges, I found some tiny targets to test the Gen 3 DAR, I had 6 confirmed Hosp 2 stayed on roofs, one was taken by Pig Pen the hungry kitty before photo op.
 Next I had a squirrel pop up on a log 5 yards in front of me, had to use 3 mils holdover at 3x, that worked well


Bonus pic of my tripod blind, took me a few years to discover that a ground blind with seat removed, will fit the tripod stand, it is not mentioned in any of the ads, but works perfect, back side visible.

James, I really like the finish on that stock. I had one of the earlier DARs with the dark shiny finish.

Does it allow more game to come in than the tripod without blind? How about the blind without the stand?
Does big game come closer?

 Sam the chair blind as a ground blind has limitations like no 360 degrees of shootable view, same issue with tree stands, besides all the trees dyeing, Stand alone one has to dress like a sniper and move sloth like, but game does come in, squirrels way too close LOL.
 I have not had a chance to sit but one afternoon in it since the swap, but I feel it will give me the best advantage. Main reason was to keep out of the wind while elevated.

LOL Bill I had to go look as I felt the finish was a bit more matt, and yes my gen2 is slightly glossier.
My 2 DAR's are very accurate and have worked flawlessly I'm a happy DAR camper
