 Took the Jet1 .25 out for a safari, got this chipper right off then managed 2 squirrels and was 20 yards from a 6 pt buck for a minute, but Jet 1 not enough fire power for that much meat

 Went on safari  with the Jet1 .25 H&N Hunters, @5 spotted a squirrel and as I was working my way to get a shot, Nick spotted a racoon 50 yards off from where I was, I worked my way down and up a small ravine, hiding as best I could, and crunching the lest I could through the fallen leaves. I got to within 30 yards then it began moving and foraging off to the left, I slowly perused then got it coaxed to go up a big open tree. I worked my way up and around to get a shot from about 25 yards and 40 ft up, set the dot cross on the boiler maker and got a solid thump as the pellet entered the kill zone. It moved further up the tree, as Nick worked the other side with the Notos, incase another shot was needed, and it was as it slowly climbed back down the tree, it kept moving away from me going towards it, and casually headed right to Nick who put a pointblank-ish finishing shot to the head.
 Perfect eating size and corn fed to boot

While waiting for a couple of buddies to come over to go to the gun range, I hear commotion about back. I peeked put the basement door window to see a chase between 2 nutters. I slowly and quietly open the door, but, of course, they were immediately aware of it. Both scaled to the other side of the oak. I waited, and soon they came around to investigate.
It came to a stop with a full side profile to me and then stayed motionless. The Notos delivered the CPHP and the nutter erratically scrambled around the trunk of the tree. Then it finally lose grip and fell to the forest floor. I hear a bit of thrashing. Then silence.
I stayed quiet and motionless, hoping it's  "buddy" woul reappear to investigate the commotion. But, then I hear the strong exhaust of a pickup. My first buddy had arrived, so I put away the Notos to go greet him.
After a couple of hours at the range, I got home and went to see if I could track down the nutter. It didn't get very far before it expired.

Sorry, been off line for a couple weeks, had a friend painting my house from the ugly Pink to a nice light tan color, also had a call from my Brother in Cali, my Dad past away from complications from hip surgery, he was 91, but during the time off line my friend and I hunted a few tree Squirrels in my backyard, I got 7 he got 1, sorry no pictures, I used the Notos and he used my HW100 .22, most of my shot were within 40 yards, his was 45 yards, both guns worked flawlessly and dispatched the squirrels cleanly with all head shots, my friend was amazed at the accuracy of both guns, he has a Marauder pistol and a Sam Yang 909 .45 at his home, so he is used to PCP's, all the Squirrels we shot went to the Cleanup crew here, possums and Raccoons were happy to have fresh meat, my neighbor said these reddish grey Squirrels don't taste good here, he said the silver grey one's taste good, but they're over at the lake area, oh well....

No pests at all yesterday. Took Angus for a walk down on the flats  Not a rabbit to be seen. Look aloft and there was the resident hawk cruising the sky  all the rabbits in hiding.

Went to my original rat barn today for a few hr.s after lunch. I sat up in the straw loft and sniped 10 rats , a mouse & a hosp . 12 shots , 12 critters . It was a good day ! I had my Hatsan Factor RC tuned to 850+ on no.2 power ,w/ hammer one notch off max tossing H&N 14.66 Excite Hammer pellets . This ammo is economical & pretty accurate in a few of my guns ( at the right speed ) & dispatches rodents as good as most other I've tried at my vermin ranges. I sent a phone pic to my farmer friend & he was pleased . These 3 hr. work days are tough on old retired guys  .

 I took the new M16a out to the woods yesterday afternoon, too hot for deer hunting, so squirrel was on the menu. It did not take long and I got a shot on a grey 3 ft up on a tree trunk head down tail up, 35 yards. I rested on a sapling took aim at the boiler room and let a 34gr JSB fly, TWHAP!, he just clung to the tree shaking as the blood poured out, then seconds later dropped DRT.
 Today may be back to Whitetails.

Betty Lou actually broke into tears when I shot that one. Especially when she was the one that pointed it out to me. I'm not sure what she expected.. when you shoot them they are supposed to die... silly girl.
