Benjamin 342 repair

My 342 retains a little bit of air after shooting. Is a small amount acceptable? If not, who is the best repairman to take care of this?
When I say a little, I can pump it 8 times, shoot it and recock it without any pumps and it will not push a pellet out. I must say at 8 pumps,
this rifle is a beast!

Mike Baker or Rick Wellnecker are both handy with these pumpers. Parts, advice or repairs. I think a puff of air after 8 pumps is not worthy of taking a working rifle apart about, but it's just one man's opinion.

I think pgritty is right, I've gonna leave my 342 alone!

Good decision in my opinion.
It is a fine balancing act between Hammer spring and Valve spring tensions.
I stressed over it when I rebuilt my 312 and then 342.
A wee bit of residual air on 8 pumps is where I settled.
