Dog behavior

 Dogs were doing their usual thing this morning when the youngest Betty goes over to the wall and starts staring ,then looking like she is following something unseen  thru wall….poltergeist,termites …was an interior wall..lol…dog they are a hoot…

I had one do that one time. It turns out that I had mice.

Yep Mice,
All my dogs have done that, they can hear them traveling between the sheetrock etc.
Cats are real good at finding them also.

They keep coming to an elect outlet box right next to the floor. 
I opened it up and set a couple of snap traps, between the cat and traps
I must have taken out a dozen of them, and then no more.

When we rebuilt the house, changed room sizes etc, found where the plumbers
had cut a hole for a pipe and that was where the little buggers were getting in,
stuffed steel wool and foam around all open holes and no more mice.

A dogs sense of smell is WAY beyond ours.
Then they hear it.
We simply can not relate to what the detect.
 I trust my dawg more that any human.

It goes way beyond sight, sound and smell.
We humans distract ourselves with our thoughts, plans and emotions. We focus on future and past.. alot, and we miss things that are going on around us in doing so.
Animals live more in the moment. Their state of awareness is far superior than we allow ours to be.

In my next life I want to be a Dog sooo bad.

In my younger days I was having an uh, discussion with a girl I was dating. She accused me of treating my dog better than her. I told her I liked the dog. There’s no coming back from that!  I need to get some pics up of our dirty little beggars. And yes, mice. Like Scott said, trust the dog. Set some traps.

So you can scoot your tail hole across your masters pillow when you're not busy licking your produce section?

I wouldn't mind being a falcon able to fly 200mph and using bad drivers windshields as pooping target practice.
