FX platforms are more geared towards the seasoned air gunners that like to work on them and modify them with optional power accessories and such. They don't typically come highly refined and ready to shoot at their max potential right out of the box like some other platforms may. Maybe try a different platform from another maker. There are plenty of great guns out there. That doesn't make a lot of sense. FX airguns are among the most expensive that exist - why would they require "air gunners that like to work on them and modify them with optional power accessories and such" or "typically come highly refined and ready to shoot at their max potential right out of the box"?Do you think FX would agree with these statements? Not by a longshot.Actually, I tried everything else before I settled on FX. I owned at least a dozen rifles from Air Force, BSA, Daystate, Cricket - I can't remember them all. I sold all but my FX Wildcat and Crown because they are - regulated- extremely smooth and refined- the most accurate of all, but a substantial marginIn fact, the Crown is *the most accurate rifle of any kind I have ever owned* - it will shoot .25" 50Y groups all day long.(Ok, my Tikka in .17HMR does that too, but it's the only one.)This issue is about FX US service, not FX airguns.Your comments are all wet.

The guys at the range that shoot 200 yard 1/2 Moa with their FX guns are always debating wether to change their hammer spring pressure of their regulator pressure. Seems different slugs benefit with all the changes. Yes FX airguns are VERY accurate.FWIW-The president of FX and his son shoot at the RMAC competition with extremely highly modified air guns. If you want a set it and forget it airgun, get a springer.... -YPS any manufacture product can be improved upon, even FX airguns.
Like all other comments this is just my opinion and experience. Opinions are not worth much, especially to an opposing opinion. Most FX air guns are great shooters right out of the box and is why they are so highly sought after. FX also offers many aftermarket enhancements that some FX owners appreciate that can take their FX guns beyond their default retail potential. I wish you much luck with getting yours like you like it.
