I just helped a 14 year old boy upgrade his new 880 with a 1977 piston, moderator, and flat spring removal. We then took it out back and sighted it in. He was holding quarter sized groups at 40 yards. You couldn't have knocked the smile off his face. He shot my 822 and 1925 also, when he saw what was possible to do with these guns you could see the wheels turning in his head. He wants to upgrade to wood and metal receivers, metal pump arm, metal muzzle adapter ..... He is excited about those upgrades and they provide him something to look forward to and think about. That's one of the great things about these guns... Now this old kid is gonna get back to tinkering.
