As I have said --- I am The NEW Kid on the Block when it comes to Air Rifles & Air Pistols. I was looking at the RWS Model 34 in .177cal. Looks like a Very Nice Air Rifle.
Isn't that Air Rifle the same as the Old RWS Model 36 Air Rifle?
Thanks,
Paul

34 and 36 are the same, but the 36 has a fancier stock.

They stopped making the 36 in the 90's I thnk. Yes the power plants on the 36 and 34 are exactly the same. I wish I still had mine but OnlyHarry owns it now...
Stocks on the 36 are checkered and have butt pad.

I think that the 36 was also available in carbine size, and the 34 only has the compact as a shorter version with that large muzzlebrake. Either one is an unbelievable rifle...

Personally, I want a Diana 34 in .22! They are fine with .177, but should do 650fps+ with .22 which is a nice hard smacking hunting solution.

My 34 .22 does 730 with 14.0 grain. I put a JM GRT kit and apax seal in it. Shoots and cocks smooth.
Did about the same FPS stock just had some twang.

BTW, just to be contrary, RWS never "made" anything except money, they were just an importer, much like Beeman. They've since been bought out by Umarex. The rifles you're talking about are made by Diana of Germany. And yes, the 34 is a great little rifle, it was a 34 that pulled me back from 3 years on the Dark Side :-). I like the 34 so much that I just got a 54. Later.
