Tried it with .22 barrel and it is much better shooter now. Smooth after all and very accurate. With Hawke Airmax 3-9x40 and Niggeloh sling it is an ultimate hunting combo.

Guys… I’m sorry for this silly question…

I’m still waiting for new parts for my HW80 and TbT tuning kit. Only part I have is the original Weihrauch spring guide for HW80. It is longer than the steel guide I’ve found inside the rifle. When installed , it was impossible to cock the rifle because the trigger couldn’t catch the piston. The spring is obviously shorter and is not full power. Is it possible that the rifle doesn’t work, because the spring is too short and the piston is stopped by the spring guide before it can be catched by a trigger?

Good question!  It could be that the rifle was seriously de-tuned to meet country power restrictions.  Measure the length of the top hat, washer, and spring guide.  Then measure the diameter of the spring wire, multiply by the number of coils.  If this distance is shorter that the other distance, perhaps your idea is correct.
I hope you ordered Tbt's new springs along with the guides?  Otherwise he just uses the OEM spring.  The new springs should be much better made.

With almost any mentionable springer power at all, .22 cals rule over .177 cals, has been my experience. This doesn't apply when you need to hit small openings in steel targets, but elsewhere, there's no contest.
