I could wish for a Tackdriver quality build for $400.. ...I especially like his fat boy build... My MK based build compared... now that is like a vw compared to a bit of a hot 914 (say 160 hp) ...back in the 80's the Bowket designed pumpers were ~$300Your wish has been granted. This gun started as a well used Ebay 140.Converted the blow off valve to a modern hammer valve.MRod trigger, Challenger barrel and steel breech.Power adjuster and metal barrel band.Modded stock for longer LOP etc.An all wood and metal 362 with a 2100 stroke (5") would be sweet.

Bill what I see is what could have been a lot nearer Heirloom Quality but falls a touch short... it is a keepsake/collectable and they made it look a bit cheap by using that barrel band after going to the effort/cost of a walnut stock, milled breech, peep sight and some brass... I personally would not have given it the peep and would have instead gone with a brass/metal barrel band, brass breech end plug and brass pump tube end plug...just would have made it seem more of a well thought out gestalt with a theme... and would have celebrated the whole lego family rather than just the 362...Oh also I think they missed a bit by not offering it in choice of .177 and .22...would probably help sales some also..."I like wood and metal guns but my guns are not heirlooms or safe queens. They all get used as tools or man toys. As long as it's not some butt ugly canoe paddle, walnut is not a must have for me."I am pretty much of the same mind...But my youngest wanted it as something to keep... we shoot all the 13xx hybrids I made... she also wants to put a tin of K.O. and a tin full of BBT 30g put in the box because she feels that I played a bit part (advocating for) in the small-bore slug options being more available now... she played my ego a bit.. So yep what she wants... at least this time dad's little girl gets.. Me I just think that it started with the Crosman 140-160 evolving into the more modular design of the 1322/1377/2240/1740/2260/1760/Disco/Max and such... The tinkerer's platform... I know all of mine are just a bit different from what everyone else has...parts availability helps because if I mess up on a mod no big deal can get a new part...just am hoping the platform sticks around for a long time... it should...and it does not hurt that you can adapt the very good Mrod/Prod triggers if you so wish...I do like Walnut, but it is not a must have... My Icons do look and feel right in their walnut Remmy 513T stocks tho.. I do wish there was still American Elm in quantity around... it's interlocking grain has very high split resistance making it a very good choice for pumper/air rifle stocks...So would I spend $400 for it if not for my youngest..? well probably... do have a stable of non safe queens to shoot..
I do think I like the stipple rather than checkering so yep a plus 1...Bill here is a one of 500 collectable that would not necessarily be a safe queen...but it actually does fit the description of is the medallion worth the extra price of those that just want to rain yellow fluid on the 100 year rifle.. https://daisymuseum.3dcartstores.com/50th-Anniversary-Daisy-PowerLine-880-ONLY-500-MADE_p_373.html it is the one rifle I picked up that I never admitted to having... the shipping was not quite as much last year as it would be now( bout $30) for me I checked... looks like some are still available... oh wait there is also a sticker on the box and a certificate in the box that has a matching #... here is the review I found chrono ... so yep only about $100 rather than the normal $60 or so for the regular model... Hoping they make the Ship date on the 362 this time..
you can only get 50th anniversary 880 thru the Daisy Museum... it is 69.99... shipping to my zip would be just shy of $30 P.A. is currently 54.99 +8.99 shipping for the 880... so 64$I have prime and the 880 currently is 65.88 free shipping... so yes early last year I paid ~40$ for the Medalion, a certificate and a sticker on the box...But hey there are only 500 of them and so I figured why not... and just skipped going out to dinner one time...
