Help with a S&W 77A

I have a Smith &Wesson  77a that I am needing help with.  The rifle works fine , but the butt plate is broken with part of it missing.  Does anyone know where I could get one, or if some one could print one for me?  It doesn't keep me from using it but it irritates me knowing it isn't correct.

   If you want an original one, I think it will be super hard to find. You may try to find an unmarked butt plate, or a S & W butt plate on E Bay, & sand it down to fit. Good luck !

I can't find a good picture showing the S&W 77a butt-plate but it looks like it is held on by two screws. I bought a new old-stock Crosman butt-plate from Rick at Precision Pellet in PA for an old Crosman 118. It is unmarked and has no Crosman logo. It was oversized so I had to sand it down to match the shape of the butt. That is how they are fit at the factory. If Precision Pellet still has them I think it would be a suitable replacement for your broken one.

   I have seen someone take a thick piece of leather [ shoe shop ] & sand it down to fit. It looked pretty good.
