Bengamin Cayden 22 cal Poppit and valve stem

Got my order from uk and funny thing i noticed that the poppit was a hard black
plastic or something as a magnet doesnt stick to it.A magnet also doesnt stick to
the valve stem or poppit stem either so what are they made from if there not made
from stainles steel they sure wont last long ..Thanks

Many PCP's have a similar made poppets.  They hold up well, but are a wear item and will need to be replaced at some point.

I have seen black delrin used for a poppet, I haven't heard about non magnetic stems. I am curious.

The stem is very hard stailess steel as when i tap it with an allen wrench
it makes a tingging sound not a dull tap type sound apparently there are a
couple high quality steels that are non magnetic

Plenty of SS that is not magnetic as OP stated.


If you're feeling fancy you can remake the poppet in similar dimensions with a harder material such as peek to achieve a slightly easier to open valve due to the material compressing less against the seat as that takes a considerable amount of hammer energy to overcome.
