Trust me, it takes time and energy to hand pump and to even get out and get tanks filled. IMHO the convience of a compressor is well worth the price of admission, even if you do have to pay that price every year or two!
Yep, slow and steady is not a bad thing! Since they run so cool, you're not having to constantly keep an eye on the temperature gauge either. Yea, I added one to my CS4, but it's really a joke, I've yet to see the temp rise above 80-85F!
