Somewhat of an aside—reading the descriptions of the various GX pumps, the CS4 talks about filling 6.8 liter bottles, while the CS3 is for upto 1 or 1.5 liters. 6.8 liters is nowhere near 18 cu ft, yet it appears even the CS3 can fill the 18 cu ft bottle in a couple of sessions or so.Only thing I can think of is the 18 cu ft is talking about compressed air, while the 6.8 liter is talking about actual volume of the tank. Seems weird that different units of volume are used to indentify bottles.Or … is there a better explanation out there?
So... reporting back on customer support from GX Pump. The day I received my order I first tried their online 'chat', but it was late evening so I didn't expect an immediate answer. However, there has been no response since then, and that was last Tuesday 3/21.Immediately after trying chat ... sort of thinking that was going to be an automated type of response ... I sent an email, as directed from the bottom of the email notice that my order was delivered. I described the issue of the missing spare parts with a photo of what was actually received. Again, no response since last Tuesday.Today I tried calling. Not surprisingly, that was a joke. Their phone line would ring a couple of times then disconnect. Tried three times. Followed by another email, which has so far gone unanswered.Their web site does not list a rebuild kit for the CS4. Maybe too new or I'm not looking in the right place, but the other pumps have kits and parts listed. I'm beginning to feel customer support is non-existent. Sure hope this unit keeps working.
I’m just looking at the 4 year extended warranty and it says that if they can’t fix it they’ll reimburse whatever I paid for it. There’s also free shipping for the warranty. Maybe that’s the way to go. Also, I’m in the process of checking to see if YH has an equivalent product.Update…YH apparently doesn’t have a product that is equivalent to the CS4. The only thing they have that is close, you need an external water supply.

The only thing they have that is close, you need an external water supply. The CS4 is more robust than the YH compressor, but it's also more expensive and new to the market. The YH does require a separate water supply, but that's not as big of a deal as it sounds like. There are also available rebuild kits for the YH, but I expect there will be kits out for the CS4 before long. Admittedly the separate water supply for the YH makes it less portable, but unless you are shooting somewhere without clean water it's a non issue as well. I've carted mine to the range and friend's places for long shooting sessions and it was just fine.
Some tanks are rated by how much compressed air they hold and sometimes they are rated by water volume. It seems like SAE volumes are assumed to be under pressure and metric volume is of water. I personally would not fill a 1-1.5L bottle with the CS3, my Vevor branded version of that compressor died after filling my 1.6l bottle a few times, even giving it lots of breaks and babying it. The CS4 is a much more appropriate compressor for filling larger bottles.
From my understanding the 6.8 liter is a 74 cubic foot tank and the cs4 can fill it no problem.
More run around from GX Pumps. Replied that they do not supply a grease syringe anymore, even though the brochure/manual lists it. Even though I sent a picture of what parts I did receive, they want me to tell them what was missing. The parts list is written in CHINESE. How am I suppose to know? I don’t read or speak Chinese. That was the last I heard from them. The unit is working good, so far, but I sure can’t recommend the company. Virtually no support.
After hearing about the lack of support from GX, I’ve decided against getting the CS-4, even though it does everything I need a compressor to do. Thanks for the warning guys. I just ordered a large tank from PA and I’ll do the scuba shop run when it gets low.

I got the same response, they told me it was an old manual, but when I requested a copy of the updated manual... Crickets! Target Forge sells parts, when the time comes that I need parts, I'll reach out to them!
