I finally got the UTG mount and Weaver rings in place, got her scoped, and started sighting in today. It's a very accurate gun, and the UTG is a wonderful solution to the scoping problem I was having.I'm noticing a "rubbing" when I cock the gun, which I know shouldn't be there. It doesn't feel mechanical, but feels like grit or dirt. I removed the stock and cleaned up everything external, but I don't know how to clean where the cocking arm (?) slides inside the compression tube, and honestly, I'm not even certain that this is where the rubbing is coming from, but it's my hunch. I don't know all the terminology and parts that I need to know yet, so my apologies if I'm calling parts by the wrong names.
Thanks Smackey54- I would be surprised if it's wear at the pivot bolt area, because judging from the looks of the gun, I doubt it was ever even broken in when it was originally purchased. I'm thinking it may just be years of sitting unused and old dry lube/dust, but I could be wrong.
