It's definitely not a Rekord or T06, but it's still quite good.-W4lb trigger is a deal breaker for me, thanks for that infoThat's a bit heavy for my taste as well. I like them 2lbs. and under.

Don't get me wrong... lots of guns can benefit from a lighter trigger. I think manufacturers make them heavier than needed to avoid liability issues. Several things can be done to lighten them and still keep them safe depending on trigger group design. I wouldn't strike out a gun completely over a heavy trigger pull. I haven't seen one yet that couldn't be lightened.I'm not sure UPS is responsible for the loss of pellets. That packing leaves alot to be desired.I once took a scope to the UPS store to send to a buyer. I specifically asked the girl if I packed it good enough to safely arrive. She told me to push the package off the counter and onto the floor. If it survived it was packaged good enough.Clearly your package would not have survived.... neither the outer nor the inner. I think that UPS is going to put the blame on the source for insufficient packing.
Yesterday I also received a ratty package from Krale/UPS. Thankfully there weren't any small items shipped in the box. And it was a miracle that there was no damage done to the 3 different Meteor rifles. I have received a half dozen packages from Krale over the last 7 years and none were near this bad. I remember them all to have been in solid condition when I received them!
I noticed a couple of openings in the trigger guard, presumably for adjustments.Do you know just what adjustments are possible? Wondering if the manual addresses it even...
You can take that screw to the local hardware or Lowes and get a couple mm longer. Find the sweet spot and use loctite or washers to 'freeze' your adjustment. Be sure to bump test the gun. Keep in mind, that is typically the travel adjustment... lightening the trigger pull usually requires some spring adjustment.... modding or replacing.

I've done this with other, inferior, triggers before. I'm not sure that I'll attempt this with the Meteor, just because I'm pretty satisfied with its trigger, and I don't want to risk ruining something that's already acceptable to me.-W

I don't remember reading alot about those guns. Just the name BSA says quality to me.
If I do, I'll be sure to box it better...

I certainly wouldn't just let it go. I might give them a day or so to respond. If you don't mind, how did you pay?
