I need a factory replacement sd card for my ender 3-v2. All of a sudden my computer can't the original card. I need one that is already formatted and loaded with the programs to run the printer just like the card that came with it. I have been looking but can't find one.
thanks

I don't have the V2, but Creality does have a software download page. Usually though, you don't need the original SD card.

Pretty sure you don't need any of the original files for the printer to work. My original crapped out at some point, but it recovered when I reformatted it on a pc. Use FAT32. If you need a new one, they say to not go over 32GB. 8GB is plenty.

Thanks guys
The problem is I am a computer idiot. I know nothing about a fat32. LOL. I am just learning how to do CAD, slice and all the other stuff required to get the printer to work. I wrote Ender in China but her answer was to get a new SD card because it was to expensive to send a factory one to the U.S. I have gotten stuff from Bangood and the shipping was minimal. Basically she was no help at all. I have no problem with doing the down load myself but the terms are pretty much Greek to me. What got me in trouble was the computer kept telling me to eject the disk properly. In the past I had no problem doing that. I tried the key combinations but nothing worked. I then went to youtube where I was told to move the disk to the trash. I guessed the disk was protected somehow and it wouldn't loose the info. Of course that was wrong. I then went into the trash to try to recover the disk info but nothing was there. Now if I put the disk in it doesn't show on the screen but when I just pull it out of the computer it tells me to remove "no name" properly. The disk name is "no name" So somehow it knows the name of the disk but for some reason I can't get it to the screen.
Before this I have been printing and the printer does a great job. I just have to find out how to do the down load. It may be simple but when you don't know what your doing that's not the case.
I bought the printer from Micro Center about an hour away. They are the only business I have ever heard of that does not have a phone number. So I have to drive two hours to maybe find out they won't help either. I am hoping they will but today ya never know.

If your printer is working, you can use any SD card. As was mentioned, a small cheap one is fine.

First thing that should be done is to copy the contents of the SD card to your computer's hard drive. Then when these issues arise (and they will) youve got some recourse
and BTW, you should be backing up your computer on a regular basis too.....

Thanks guys.
Well the long and the short if it is I took the entire setup to Micro Center, computer, printer, disk and adapter. They do not service ender products they just sell them. After a bit or back and forth, very nice sales guy I must add, and after explaining and showing him the problem the finally decided the card and the printer had a problem. They took the printer back and gave me a new one. I won't have time for the next three months to even get it out of the box but yes I need to make up some backup disks before I do anything.
Actually I don't remember ever formatting a disk of any kind. Maybe back in the floppy disk days. LOL Yes I'm an old guy in my mid 70's. Anyway they kept telling me I didn't need any "drivers". Just put a new disk in slice what you want to print, move it to the disk, put it in the printer go to the file and print the item. I knew that was wrong but did it anyway to show them I needed "drivers". Anyway it think they got tired of me pressing the issue and gave me a new printer. Again like you guys are saying I need to make backup disks before I do anything this time. I will ask you guys how to do that but right now my brain is fried. LOL
Actually while I am away would be a good time to figure how to make the extra disks I guess.

It's annoying that there is/was no way for us to remotely diagnose the problem, because I think it would have been pretty quick. Micro Center -- yes -- I did find a phone number, it was like pulling teeth, but then it rang forever anyway. In store their people have been great. Not being there it is hard to say, but I'm not sure a new printer was the correct fix.
I do it the way the clerk said -- I slice a model in Cura, put my SD card into usb adapter and that into the PC, save the resulting gcode to the removable usb drive that shows up (the SD card), click to "eject" the removable usb drive, pull the usb drive out of the pc, take the SD card out of the usb adapter, put SD card into printer. No drivers needed because the PC is not hooked up to the printer. And no PC needed to start a print. The printer works as a stand-alone device, reading the gcode off of the sd card.
You may want an extra sd card on hand, mine has never died, but needed formatting once and emptying a few times. Be careful when practicing formatting -- make darned sure you are formatting the SD card and not your C: drive!!!
We'll try to help when you're ready. Go shoot up some tin cans and relax.

How did you know my secret to stress relief. LOL
I'm thinking about it already. I "think" I have a general idea as to how it's done but the proof is in the details. That's just the way my mind works.
Anyway I appreciate you guys hanging with me on this. In the next few days I will probably start to figure out how to download the program and get it on the SD card. I want to have a couple of spares ready to go.

Gary, just to emphasize what Bob said.
You don't need for any software to be on the SD card. The printer already contains its operating software. No need to connect it to the PC. The only thing that needs to be on the SD card is the file ( .gcode type) that describes the object you want to print.
The .gcode type file is created on your PC by the slicer program (CURA is popular). You just need either an SD card slot on your PC or a USB type SD card reader so you can save it on your SD card.
When you are ready, we can go through the process step by step if that would help.
