Just be careful. If it is the one from AoA neither the manufacturer or AOA warranties them, so don't break it

test shows that you get 50% more shots. 24 shots per fill instead of 16 on the .25 marauder. 45 shots instead of 30 shots off .22 cal. some marauder will need metal work( filing and custom fitting). look promising instead of extension air tube. just like starter on your car, when it turns, it cranks your engine and free ride when your engine starts.

I was looking into this recently and found someone who actually put it on a .25 Mrod. From what I remember seeing, 50% is right. I'm really thinkin about ordering it, but havent heard that great of things about AoA. I'll probably get it eventually anyway though.
I wonder how well this will work with a .25 Mrod shooting at say 50 or 60 FPE?

I have already added a tube extension so I can't wait to see how many shots I can get between both of them. They also say that the hdd will decrease some of the noise of the shot. Has anyone tested this?

if it makes it that much more efficient with out a power or velocity loss, it has to be a good thing. i would think that would help consistency also. maybe Bob will chime in and explain it to us.?

Sorry, never used an HDD.... I've heard a lot of complaints of the 22XX ones failing though.... When I was modding CO2 guns I used to just reduce the hammer strike to save CO2....
I, for one, would love to see a comprehensive test (performed by a customer) documenting the shot count and velocity with and without an HDD on a gun such as an MRod.... followed by a report on any longevity problems, if any....

Bob, I will document the shot count and velocity with and without the HDD on my Mrod and will post as you requested once it arrives.
You stated that you have heard of problems with the 22XX ones failing, what was happening with them?

The 22xx HDD is made from plastic (delrin?) and if you hotrod your 22xx hammer spring too much, a fairly small piece of this material gets smashed between the back of the bolt and the hammer cocking pin and eventually breaks. There is a mod you can do to the rear of the bolt so that the HDD doesn't get smashed.
The M-rod and p-rod designs are all metal and completely different (even from each other) so they won't have the SAME problems.....

The one .25 Mrod that I came across online with the hdd had before and after shot strings I believe. I'm not saying dont do it, just saying there is one out there. However I dont recall if the Mrod was stock or had work done. I'll see if I can find it again, but I dont know if I would be allowed to post it considering its from another forum.
