Any recommendations for a budget friendly scope for 34P? Mostly backyard shooting 30yds or less?
I've read all about the droop mounts sometimes being necessary, is there any way to know before purchasing? I'd assume the standard sights won't be any sort of indication.

And better yet, it's affordable.
That's what I put on my 35, and it's holding up really well.

Wow thanks for the quick replies! I was looking at those based on some things I've read...
Any advantages? -

Thoughts on rings, one piece mount, or UTG droop compensating mount?

Ya the longer tube on the 3x9x40 is more adjustable due to the longer tube, you can get the eye relief you need easier!

As for the droop compensation, I can't tell you for sure. My 35 didn't need one, my 34 does. I have a UTG made specifically for the 34, because I tried to sight in two different scopes on it with regular rings- no dice. From what I understand, the 34's don't *all* need droop compensation, but a good number of them do.
My scope is the Golden Image.

Another thought -
http://www.opticsplanet.net/leapers-utg-1in-3-12x40-full-size-ao-mil-dot-riflescope.html
slightly more money but includes rings if they'll work on the 34's rail. Then I could identify whether or not droop mount is necessary without spending the money up front on the mount to get the wrong one.
Or this also has rings, would the rubber armour be beneficial on a springer?

Here ya go.... Leapers 3x9x32 AO scope for $47.97 and free shipping. I have more than a dozen of these, they are my favorite scope and for the price I think they are a heck of a "bang for your buck"..

The 3-9X32 Golden Image is a great "no frills" scope. I had one on my Panther for 2000+ shots with no problems. For mounts try the Hawke adjustable and low rings. It has a stop to hang over the front of the Diana raised rail and you can adjust the amount compensation you need or use it flat.

This one for the longer T-06 Diana's:http://www.precisionairgunsandsupplies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=hm17021s

Either of the 3-9 scopes listed above will work good. Ive had them both and the only gun to kill one was my untuned 177 350. But that will eat most scopes. They are great scopes for the money and will suit your needs very well.

Ditto on all of the "5th Generation", or the "UTG" line of Leapers scopes. Both have Lifetime Warranties. Not sure about the Golden Image Line though. As far as the "free scope rings",,, I've found that the ones I've gotten from them are made for a picatinny rail. If you add a droop compensator, they'll work just fine.
