Reminded Al About Pellet Moulds

I just sent Al an email with a reminder about some of the pellet moulds to keep in stock, and included the following:

217-17 Wadcutter
217-20 Hunter
218-25 RF Slug

249-39 RF Slug (and a .251" version)
250-22 Wadcutter

300-46 Hunter
300-55 HP - added
300-59 Magnum
300-68 BBT Slug

.452/.457 Magnum Pellet (new)

.177 / .20 cal BBT and PB Slugs (new)

I can't say when he will get to these, or in what order, or if they are already on the mill.... but they are all out of stock (or almost) and in high demand....

I hope he puts more than 5-6 per mold  design, I have the funds burning a hole in my account just waiting for the posting, as there will be 4 gone before you can blink and say "Snackbar"..............LOL

He usually does about a dozen per mould type, sometimes double that if the demand is high.... I think they are made in a "slab" on the mill, with 2 cavity moulds having more per slab than 4 cavity.... As soon as I notice a new mould in the store, or something back in stock, I try and post in this Casting Gate....

Al called me today acknowledging my email.... He has had a rough couple of months, but is getting back on track and will work his way through the list I sent him, plus some new items as well.... He told me today that the airgunners have become one of the largest segments of his business!.... Good news for us!....

I checked the inventory for .357, and the most common two, the 84 gr. Magnum pellet and the 88 gr. HP slug are both currently in stock, in at least some RG mould types.... In other words, you can get a mould, it just may not be the number of cavities or material you want.... I don't think it is unreasonable to concentrate on those pellets and slugs where you can't buy anything.... but of course you may disagree.... I don't ever remember Al making a new run of moulds when there are still some in stock, and I don't blame him.... I concentrated on the items that I see guys complaining about them being out of stock for a while.... While this is not a perfect system, it is not unusual for the squeaky wheel to receive attention first....

If any of you are in search of a particular mould that is not in stock, perhaps you should start a thread so that others can join in.... This ability is already on the NOE Forum at:  http://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index.php?board=17.0 .... I check the front page there frequently to see what you guys are craving.... Maybe when Al gets his new Forum up and running I can get him to do an Inventory Run request section for airguns only.... 

There is one new .357 cal slug in the works, a BBT of 167 gr. as HP and 177 gr. as FN, to my new design.... but there are a LOT of designs ahead of it in the list....

Yep, you're right, and it is on the list I sent Al in July as "out of stock" then.... but since I didn't see guys screaming to buy it I didn't include it in my list of "most pressing" inventory refills.... I won't forget it, it's just that I gave Al a push to get the ones above done first.... In addition, I have a new design replacement for that, so when he is out of stock it might be a good time to get him to retool.... but that won't happen until he does the 177 gr....

I just got my 357 recently so I wasn't looking until recently. I can wait for the new design to come naturally as all I can use it for is target shooting and some pest animals.

I've got to say again that the 20 grain hunter pellet is one of the most accurate I've ever shot in my Prod. I've got to try it in some more guns soon.

I have two of the NOE .357 slug molds in the 152gr and 156gr range.  I can say they are awesome and are super accurate out of my Slayer.  I have been in the club a good while now with molds in .357, .25 and .30 calibers.  Al makes some really nice molds.
I am really glad to read he is focusing on air gunners again.

I'll definitely be getting the .177 BBT mold as soon as possible, I'm going to go for a 4 cavity mold if they're available in aluminum.

I have suggested that Al focus on 2-cavity RG style moulds in both aluminum and brass, and 4-cavity in aluminum.... as I have read many comments about the 4-cavity brass being too heavy for comfort.... Most airgunners want the ability to change from HP to FN, and NOE is the only company to offer that!....
