I would like to know about how high the peep hole is above the receiver .
The later models with the round receiver.
Could a few folks with the 5dsh measure this distance. How close is it to the center of  the elevation adjustment?

I just got a D5 for another project, I have my calipers out in the freezing truck ATM, but with a measuring stick I get 2cm for the OE sights and also for the 5dsh.

what does the 5dsh mean?

5dsh is the model number for the williams peep sight that fits Sheridan and later Benjamin guns.  The sh stands for Sheridan

And lore has it that the 5d stands for 5 dollar because that was the price when that model was introduced.

After reading reviews of the 5dsh sight , some people had to grind the sight to allow it to go lower.
If you pump to 14 pumps it most likely will require a higher front sight along with the lowest setting on the rear. Here is a photo from one of the  reviews. Looks about 9/32 above the receiver.
