New here and to the sport and I recently found a supplier of wax bullets, many cals and 3 different "types" of wax used.
Anyone here have any experience with using these for practice shooting or for pest control? Thinking they may work for Iguana hunting in Fla.

Sounds like transfer port getting blocked and wounded iguanas. I wouldn’t do it. Shoot projectiles designed for your airgun. Please don’t shoot animals with wax bullets you’re going to not kill them and worst you will wound them. Watch videos of iguana hunting those guys take .25 caliber pellets to the head and keep running.

Maybe I need to clarify,,,I am referring to large cal rounds. 30 cal. nothing smaller. As you can imagine the dangers of shooting a 30 cal in a populated area with lead is worrisome, hence the wax bullets. Also I am referring to commercially manufactured bullets, made for speed shooting, not candle wax. Totally different product, flight, impact and SAFER than lead by far.

Wax bullets arrived, they seem more like plastic than wax but upon biting one it did break apart. Nice dome face and dish tail. Still waiting for the "toy" to arrive and see how they may work.
Worse case scenario, it will be a blast rippin off 17 rounds in 3.8 seconds and watching the round explode on contact with the 6 inch dia, 5/8 thick steel gong targets!
Now to come up with a portable target/trap/range that I can tote around on my trailer! Give exhibitions at traditional "gun show" and let John Q public see what fun they have been missing out on!
2000 rounds for less that $70...

30 cal fans should take the calipers to mini hot glue gun sticks.
45 cal fans might be delighted to measure regular hot glue sticks.

Sent some of the wax bullets to AOA, we talked a few minutes and I was promised feedback once they have a chance to run them thru a Rattler, or some other like it. Said no reason to think they wouldn't work, only not sure about accuracy yet....Mine is to set to arrive next Monday...yay!
I now am a dealer of airguns...Upper Peninsula Air Guns LLC of Michigan. I set up at traditional gun shows and sell air guns and related products, as you can imagine, I get a lot of attention. I have a banner that reads "No Permit, No Background Check, No Problem!" and I have a photo attached of a semi auto long gun! lol Up here this is like "sliced bread" in the shooting market, the info is starting to filter around and I am the only air gun dealer in the Upper Peninsula! Sweet!
I will have my 30 cal full/semi Rattler for the next show on Dec 9 and 10, held at the Lake State University, already a buzz about me being there! Now, to figure a way to have a demonstration....

shot several rounds at the top of a 55 gal drum, plastic, the rounds went supersonic, but did NOT even mark the plastic. Into a 3/8 plywood was a different story, at 30 feet the round went almost thru the plywood....these are the .45 cal, the toy is due tomorrow...
These are 3 I could find, not the rifling marks, not the most accurate but cheap shooting!

sadly, the 30 cal wax bullets were too large diameter to fit into the magazine without great pressure and damage to the bullet,,,dang it! The 45's work great, single shot vs 17 shot wheel.....maybe the Wax Bullet guy will make them slightly smaller dia?
will keep posted as things occur.
