The abutment is in the Chamber Seal kit, the last item on the list...
I got a pump head assembly on the way to see how to adapt to the 880.Should be interesting....
Sure is a cool little gun…I bought a refurb…and when it quit I cannibalized for parts…wish I had fixed it now….good luck

The 1977 piston rod id dimensionally different from that of the 880.Sure, the pivot hole is in a different location to account for the longer stroke,but the head/spring assembly is longer than the 880 counterpart.I do not know if the spring has sufficient give to compensate...You may be able to account for that when you relocate the pivot pin hole...
