Diana Stormrider carbon fiber barrel tensioner

I stumbled across this video from Air Shootist on YouTube and decided to give it a try. My tubes arrived from Amazon this afternoon and I had time to cut one down and install it on my .25 Stormrider. I really like the look sans front barrel band, and accuracy is at least as good as it was if not better. I only had time to shoot one 7 shot mag today but all of them could be covered by a dime at 25 yards.

I think I may try this at some point. Mostly just for cheap insurance against bumps in the woods.

I'm happy with it. Pretty much cut my 50 yard groups in half. I never liked the looks of it with a front barrel band either.

I'm rocking the barrel band on my 'rider and Bandito, but mostly for a place to attach my front sling, and I am of the minority that likes the look I guess. Are there any clamp on pic rails for the air tube?

I found a hardwood dowel that was a tight fit inside of it and cut it with a tubing cutter. It took awhile with shallow cuts on each revolution but I got a perfectly square cut with no nasty dust to breathe.

Are there any clamp on pic rails for the air tube?

Sure are. I had one of these on my Bandit when it was still in pistol format.

Nice, I'll have to snag one if I go with the CF sleeve. I'm very curious to try this on my Bandito with the short barrel to have a full floating and tensioned barrel.

I've got the Buck-Rail kit with hand guard on mine or I might try it myself I like the heavy barrel look.

Do you think the hand guard could be drilled to fit with the CF sleeve? I think about getting the AR kit all the time.

I cut a short piece down just to see if it would work to drill the hand guard out. I kinda like how it looks without the front sight though. No going back anyway because I had to dremel the sight off.

I think I have a spare if you ever want to go back. The factory irons are so bad that I doubt you will!

I do better with peep sights, plus the front and rear blades don't make a nice sight picture on the 'Rider.

I've got red dots or scopes on almost everything I own that has a trigger.

Different gun, but I'm posting here because I'm using the same carbon fiber tube. This is my newly acquired Diana Chaser Hpa build. Take a look at the long soda straw barrel with no barrel bands installed. I firmly believe that the flyer on the styrofoam plate target was me or the wind. I don't blame the gun. The low shot on the steel plate is not part of the group. It was taken to establish point of aim. It was also shot at 50 yards. I'm using a a fixed 4x scope with a ballistic reticle meant for a crossbow.
