Marksman 742 air rifle

I picked up a Marksman 742 .177 break barrel air rifle in a resale shop several months ago. I have been unable to find anything at all about it online other than pictures of a couple of posters and an old for sale listing or two. The tag attached by the seller said circa 1975, and that it shoots pellets, bb's, or darts. It still works well. I would like to know more about the history of this rifle ... strange that it doesn't seem to be discussed anywhere I have looked.
