It is but there is also an additional shallower HP pin and a non-HP pin set included for more weight and versatility.

why does the NOE site say these are 360 gr bullets? If they truly are 55 gr, is this the one that we all were working on for 30 cal?

nevermind. with further looking this is the one we were working on. i just ordered mine. 2 cav brass. hope my impact agrees with it.

It is great to see you joining in.  Will you be working with the heavy liner?  That's the one I do not currently have and feel I may need.

I currently only have the superior liner. So, hoping this work with that. If not, then I'll get the heavy liner. I just got my order complete email and tracking number. I do see it is recommended to run the heavy superior for slugs over 50 gr.. So a twist of 1:22 in the superior versus 1:18 in the heavy.
Triggertreat. can you cast some up and slug the superior and see where sizes are looking like? I may need to get some .30 cal sizers now.

I see around a .297 average pushing a pellet through the superior liner in .30 cal. pellets are starting at .299 dropped from the mold after casting. this would indicate around a .003 choke on the superior liner. can anyone else test and add their findings. may need to have NOE make some smaller .30 cal sizing bushings. he currently stops at the .298

NOE isn't playing around. I just received my mold today. Its cleaned and things are heating up now to get it tested out. Excited and got high hopes for this meat missile.

Oh man I’m covered up with stuff going on and it’s 104° outside currently in the casting shed. I did get mine washed up with soap. I'll probably be doing the heat cycles soon.  I'm looking forward to your reports coming up.

no heat cycle for me. need to polish pins as they are a bit sticky for my liking. this brass 2 cavity is a monster of perfection from NOE as always. .2 gr difference. seeing 56.1 gr average in HP using pure lead. Started a new thread in the casting section.

Preliminary test looks dang promising. need to develop a tune for my impact with these next. current tune has them at 790 fps on max power.

A few extra steps but something I have tried before with good results to increase the diameter for testing purposes was to use one of the pins in my drill press with a set depth limit.  I also used half of the mold clamped down as a guide.  When you apply a little downward pressure to the slug using the pin only the base expands a bit.  I then run them back through the bushing for even consistency.

I'll be looking forward to your results James, if it puts a decent rifling imprint I may have to order one of the molds, I will probably order the aluminum one if I do because with larger calibers
I don't feel that the brass mold would be as much an improvement as they really are on the small caliber slugs and pellets.  With the .458 BBT's I cast for my .457 Max aluminum works good IMO.
