CGA-347 male fitting moved to other port
All I need now is to verify a AN-10 port boss plug oring gland will seal this port and then it will operate like the older valves. Going to get a steel one on Thursday.

Ok guys theses valves are usable
The unused port can be sealed up with a steel AN814-10 Boss port cover

OK the latest SCBA valves have changed before all they had was a handle and a CGA-347 Connector. The tank was charged by opening the handle and filling thru the CGA-347. The tank was discharged thru the CGA-347 connector as well.
The new valve has a 2nd snap connector, You do NOT open valve handle to charge tank. The CGA-347 connector has a spring loaded check valve inside. When you open the valve handle it flows air out of the snap connector port.
I removed the spring loaded check valve from the CGA-347 connector and moved it to the port that originally had the snap connector. The original CGA-connectore port is now sealed up with the AN fitting and the valve not operates like the older style valve
PM me if you have any questions on setting up a SCBA tank for use.

what about filling that port with a gauge? indicate pressure of the tank or output pressure. is it even needed

You could but the valve already has a tank pressure gauge under that heavy rubber bumper. Look closer at the valve pictures abouve you will see it.
Thats one of the rteason I prefer this style valves over the modified DIN 300 SCUBA styles that are becomong more common

a 30 minute SCBA tank will hold as much air as a heavy 3000 PSI SCUBA.
look over in bargain gate I linked some NIB tanks that are out there
