Quick DIY shoulder stock for Beeman 2027

A ground squirrel was sighted in my wife's garden. This means I need to be ready NOW (otherwise my airgun rationale and budget as garden defender could be at risk). This would most likely be a quick offhand shot and I'm still working on that with that big pistol. So a shoulder stock would help.

I made a small block to clamp to the grip using the existing internal cylinder. I contoured it to the grip with a sanding drum. It looks like something around a 14mm radius. I had a HDPE (cutting board type material) bar from some other experiments that attaches to the block with a step index. The custom butt pad works surprisingly well and is comfortable. The assembly is rigid and works well.

Long term I will probably do some upgrades, but right now it is Game On squirrel!

    Cool…u would think with all the hobbist and vendors for this hobby someone would develop a simple clamp on universal stock….maybe like the one u would see in the cowboy movies for the 45…lol

Hey Stan,
Would you please share what parts you used when you added the shroud to your Beeman 2027?    I haven’t yet bought one because they are too loud for my purpose and the addition of a suppressor would make it too long.     Yours looks just right.     Did it quiet it down?

The shroud was a DIY build. The 20x22x330 mm tube I had from Amazon. There is still a gap to the air tube so you could go bigger. The rest were 3D printed but could be fabricated. At the breech end is a simple bushing closeout. The support at the muzzle has axial channels on the OD to allow air to flow into the full length of the tube. In front of the muzzle are a couple of typical baffles. I don't think you need many and prefer the open volume.

To my ears, it is very effective. From the shooting position, I hear a lot of the mechanicals. A casual check with a sound meter showed about a 15db drop but it may be more. I feel comfortable shooting it in my back yard.

I got my Beeman 2027 in todays mail and after quick test shots it’s already torn apart.     As I also own a Diana Bandit and it will be very interesting comparing the two.     First impression is that they look very similar, do about the same thing, and are entirely different and are of an entirely different mfg.    parts already ordered to upgrade.     Thanks for your help.

By the way, I made a version of that shroud design for my CP-1. The mount had to be a little eccentric because there is less room under the barrel. It is also very effective.
