Avenger Bullpup- The poor man’s FX Wildcat

I have both a Wildcat Compact MK3 and Avenger Bullpup .22 and I’d have to say AV did a real good job of building a great field gun. The trigger is not an FX trigger but rather a good hunting trigger. Both the Wc and Av don’t have shrouded barrels and both can benefit from a moderator. The avenger has sling mount spots the Wildcat does not. The avenger has rails for accessories but the wc has none. The Avenger side lever isn’t FX but pretty smooth regardless but where the FX shines is it’s forward mounted side lever and smoother than avenger action but still the avenger for $400 is great. Where the Avenger shines is shot count. Sure you need to pump the gun to 300 bar bug that results in something like 70-80
Consistent shots at minute of squirrel accuracy. I haven’t touched the tune on the Avenger or the Wildcat and both are great from the factory. For $400 vs $1300+ you won’t have a heart attack (maybe it’s just me) scratching the gun. On top of everything else the av has 2 magazine holders. I'm glad you like your Avenger Bullpup.  I have a long Avenger and I like it.  The POI was moving around a little last time I shot it but it might have been the West Hunter scope.  Even with the variations it was squirrels head accurate.

For a bullpup I prefer my P35s.  They have a side lever, like the Wildcat.  They are also lighter than the Wildcat.  My 22 caliber might challenge a Wildcat for accuracy.  The shroud is effective, especially with a hair curler mod, so it does not need a moderator.  If you factor in a moderator and adapter for the Avenger, the P35 may be less expensive.  In any event, I enjoy my 3 P35s.  There is also now a Stoeger Bull Shark that appears to be a P35 in a different stock.

Not even close. Huge disservice to people looking for information to embellish things to this extreme just because your happy with your budget gun purchase. I've noticed every gun you've bought has been either total junk or the greatest gun available. Let's try to give a impartial and realistic opinion on guns. I get it you like the gun but isnt anywhere close to the wildcat in reliability and consistency.

Please take this writing with  a grain of salt. The Av is not an FX hence the “poor man’s” part but for me a great field substitute. For me it’s a good cheap substitute for my expensive stuff I don’t want to take out at times.  The Av reminds me slightly of my Wildcat which is why I wrote this. I’m not a professional reviewer, a YouTuber or anything so the way I write things sometimes don’t follow any sort of review format. This was written as a fun comparison and nothing else so please don’t read this as a review or anything. Thanks hopefully we are all on the same page.

I also have an AV Avenger Bullpup and agree, it's a great hunting gun that you can thrash around. It is a great $400 gun, maybe even it would be great at $600, but it can't compare to a $1000 gun. That said, I have great fun with it, and to me, that is all that matters.
