Night Vision Scope for R9

Had a visit last night from a racoon family of 3 and a skunk. At the same time no less. They must be related. It was late and it was dark. Need suggestions for a night vision scope to fit my R9 so I can alleviate my yard of these critters.

I don't know if an affordable one would hold up on a springer. I would just set up a couple of flood lights. Get set before turning them on and they should freeze long enough to take the shot.

In North Dakota you are not allowed to use night vision gear to hunt.  You can, however, use a flashlight with no more than 6 volts total and a red filter.  I don't know if the critters can see red, but I do know that it is so that the light does not ruin your eyes ability to see in the night.  The DNR here also told me that an air rifle is considered a firearm for hunting purposes. 

It is always up to you to know your local laws and regulations regarding hunting.  Even for the pests, if you aren't right and they get you or a neighbor turns you in, you can be fined and have your gear seized. 

I'd look up what your local municipality or state regs are.

I would advise you to NOT shoot the skunk. If it empties the scent gland when you shoot it, the smell will be around for a couple of months.

A red or green flashlight beam will do fine for your night varmint extermination.

This should be on another gate, don't you think?  Aside from the gun being an R9, it's kind of a general question.  Most night vision scopes are not cheap and, dollars to doughnuts, any springer will toast one.

I dunno, but I'm thinking about getting the Nyte Vu night vision goggles and scope adapter that uses Sony night vision. You can get both for less than $800.00 if you shop around. Plus, you end up with night vision goggles AND the NV scope adapter for less than $800.00
Possums, coyotes and coons beware. I'm about to start hunting 4-legged vermin at night.
