Those look like they'd be really nice slugs for sure, doing it that way is dirtier than casting by the looks of it, I'd be wearing surgical gloves doing that. I weigh everythingthat I cast because a drastic weight change immediately needs inspection. Even casting my cup points you'll usually see that the cup isn't deep enough if anything. Thebiggest plus to those slugs he's casting is the great hollowed base which is perfect for airguns.
