Sold my Chrome 2200 wanting to try a Model 1. Didn’t know it’d be 10+ years B4 I’d find the 1 for me.
Appears to be a 2nd variant with plastic front sight & 2 piece barrel band. Not too bad cosmetics but needs to be resealed.
Told myself this is going to be a winter project … ??

If it's 2nd variant, you can fit a 2260 barrel under the shroud (Can't do it with 1st variant.) I think you might need to machine the breech and/or transfer port, though. Look up Wolgast Model 1.
Have fun!

You can lead a man to water, but you can't keep him from urinating in it.

I was just going through my pics and found this target I shot with a Wolgast Model 1 with 2260 barrel. It's a worthy mod.
Have fun!

The gist of it is the barrel is shortened so the muzzle is recessed a few inches under the shroud and the shroud acts as a silencer plenum. The bottom/middle of the shroud is drilled and tapped for a grub screw that supports the barrel. The breech end of the barrel is machined to fit into the Model 1 receiver and a transfer port hole is drilled to match. I have a spare 1760 barrel set up for the Model 1 I can get a picture of later.
The gun also has an extended bolt probe and maybe some sort of valve mod as it makes 630 fps on 10 pumps with 14.3 which is way hotter than a 1st variant I had.
I got really lucky a few years back. I bought a Model 1 off American Airguns Classifieds and it turned out to be one of these and came with the spare .177 barrel. It was just advertised as a Model 1.
