Crosman 760/66 Hybrid

This is what can happen when you put your 760 and 66 next to each other in a closet and play romantic music. It has the 66 butt stock, forearm, pump tube, pump linkage and piston assembly and the 760 plastic receiver, barrel and sights. Smooth bore, so it easily hits large objects at short distances with 7.9 grain PHP pellets from Wal-Mart. Fun, low investment project. No air retained at ten pumps even though the longer pump stroke puts more air in per stroke, than the shorter 760 pump assembly.

I like it somehow - does the bolt have a magnet?  Dedicated BB shooter...  If a rifled barrel could be found a great pellet gun.

The bolt does have a magnet. I got a rifled barrel about two years ago, from Crosman that will fit, from another Crosman model gun. By the way, I had forgotten to mention that the rear sight is from a Benjamin 397. It is epoxied on.

yep ya just can not leave them close together... I left my 13xx next to a 66/664gt and next thing I knew I had a 1322 MLT...

   The great thing about Crosman guns is so many parts fit together well enough that with a few alterations you can make something to suit yourself.  One of my favorites uses a cut down 2260 stock and trigger unit, 2250 barrel, 392 rear sight , Model 66 compression tube, 1377 valve and a steel breech.  Only non Crosman parts are a flat top pump piston set up, steel front end plug and muzzle brake.  A real handy carbine.
