Buy it! Now! IMO the Sears model 126.19300 is the ultimate 1400! The gun is stone hammer simple and rugged. Parts are available for reasonable prices. They are handy, accurate, 12-13 fpe guns.
This looks like second variation, has the white liner, and scope grooves. Made for Sears by Crosman. If it needs seals its not too difficult, there are YT videos that show the process of disassembly and reassembly, or you can send it out to get it done by a professional.
Yeah, good luck! I think it’s an early one with the 140 style bolt cover. I don’t recognize the scope mount. It appears to use the back sight screw holes and the rear assembly screw to anchor the mounts. I’d like to know more about that if you do get it.
It’s an early first model 1400. Actually it’s a Sears model 126.19300. From what I can tell. The big difference between the 1400 and the 140 is the 1400 has a one piece barrel and the 140 has a two piece barrel and breech assembly. The early 1400’s still had the sliding breech cover like the 140.It looks good to me. You can probably get a replacement back sight and a reseal kit from from Mike Baker. The stock is in pretty nice shape for a fifty year old air rifle and the white barrel spacer looks good in the photos.
It sure looks like an early first model 1400. If it has dovetails on the barrel it’s a Sears model 126.19300. From what I can tell. The big difference between the 1400 and the 140 is the 1400 has a one piece barrel and the 140 has a two piece barrel and breech assembly. The early 1400’s still had the sliding breech cover like the 140. That is a weird one no doubt and possibly what we used to call a bitsa. Bitsa this and bitsa that.It looks good to me. You can probably get a replacement back sight and a reseal kit from from Mike Baker. The stock is in pretty nice shape for a fifty year old air rifle and the white barrel spacer looks good in the photos.
