Artemis PP750 VS Diana Bandit?

I am trying to decide on what to get for my first PCP and have been looking at the Artemis PP750 and the Diana Bandit. If anyone could point out some of the pros and cons of these two and what would be the better buy in your opinion? Or is their another option in this price range ($200-350) that would be a good contender?
Also are these able to be filled by a hand pump or do I really need a compressor to get started into PCP?
Thanks,
John

Well, there is always some personal preference on looks etc but as far as overall value I'd choose the PP750. You'll get a lot more shots per fill and both guns are hand pump friendly. The PP750 comes with that pull out wire stock which is handy for those hunting shots where you need good accuracy.
The Bandit does have some cool after market accessories though, like the stuff from buck rail with the AR stock etc.

I’ve had both. Got rid of both. Nothing wrong with them I’m
Just way too picky with triggers and feel of the whole gun and Chinese guns don’t provide that. Both were accurate and quiet and never leaked.

If you like to tinker/modify then the Bandit is a good option. There are regulators, short and long barrels, grip/stock options, and you can easily swap calibers. If you just want to fill with air and shoot, then the PP750 is going to be more user friendly. I think the Bandit can probably make more peak power, but you won't get many consistent shots, and with a regulator the PP750 has the edge on fill volume. I have a bandit, but I would like to get a PP700/750/UX Notos as well.

to your question about filling, if any PCP is well suited for a hand pump it would be pistols like to ones you're asking about. I hand pump both of my PCPs, the largest holds 13 ci (213 cc) of air, if I have $300-$400 available to spend on toys I'd choose another airgun rather than a compressor. Then again, I don't have any high powered, air hungry guns either.

I have the pp750 and love it. With a few minor tweaks it has become my favorite pistol/carbine. Primary features for me are size, weight, regulated, lever action and accurate out to 40 yards. Most of my shots are between 20 & 30 yards. There are several guns in that price range that perform well and personal preference becomes the main factor in choosing one.
If you enjoy shooting, and become "addicted" like many of us, you will also enjoy using a compressor. It's not that you can't pump your guns, you definitely can. It's that "air" becomes less of an issue, and your focus switches from how easy is this gun to pump (volume, psi, etc.) to how much fun is this gun to shoot. If you end up with more than one gun, which most of us do, that just multiplies my point.
To answer your question directly, no you don't need a compressor to start with. A compressor is definitely an unnecessary expense, especially for the shooter that is just entering the world of PCPs, but once you've gotten your feet wet and finally decide to jump in, I think it's one of the best investments you can make, even if you buy a "cheap" one. Just my $.02.
