Same here...
... 3 to 4 pumps at 500 FPS is the sweet spot for me. Doing 4 in .22 reached that so in .177 should be able to do it in 3? It's nice knowing the gun is capable of much more, and it's great having that, but truth is that I've never needed more than 5 or 6 with either of my modded 13xx guns. 

Most of the time I too stick to around 500 fps in .22 or around 580 fps in .177.

However, as I have pointed out a time or two already ... I have an upcoming 70 yard pigeon project.
I may be able to complete that project using the .22 Disco SE barrel.

I have no doubt in my mind that I will be able to finish that project with the .177 Disco SE barrel.
More fps = flatter trajectory.

Plus $12.48 for the linkage plus shipping (if applied). So, I guess it's worth it to gain a few fpe..   
BTW... I don't think the 1322/1377 linkage and tube are the same as the 362. Matter of fact.. I don't think you can even get parts for the 362 yet.

It may be best to stay below 6 pumps for durability. I see some issues. Nothing that can’t be addressed. My 20 fpe 362 will be much more durable than one never pumped over four.
The pump lever used in the 362 is a modified 392.

I'm going to surmise you're unaware of the torture test Crosman did with the 362?

10,000 shots - 8 pumps each. 88,000 pump strokes. No malfunctions.

Given how Crosman did a 10,000 shot torture test using 8 pumps each without any malfunctions; if it turns out I need to make repairs to my 362 upon the 10,001st shot, then, so be it.

I suspect that's going to be awhile though.

Using 88,000 strokes as the baseline; one can figure it out mathematically.

Keeping in mind the 362 used in their testing did not malfunction
They could have kept going and likely should have kept going until the 362 did eventually malfunction.
If it ever did, that is.

I likely will be pumping mine a tad more when my SE barrel's get here in regard to my pigeon project.
Which will be purely in the nature of comparing the trajectory at 70 yards.
See what it does at 8 pumps, then 10, then maybe 12.

After the pigeons are in my freezer where they belong, there should be no further need for over pumping.

Remember, in those strings... first 4 shots are at 5 pumps and second 4 shots are at 8 pumps.

I don't remember running a string after the final cut of the 24" barrel to 21". I'll try to remember to do that.
